I’m awaiting ShadyGoat97 on his arrival...
Seriously though, this was a great song in my opinion. The production is spacey and psychedelic in which you would expect from a Cudi track, and Mr. Rager himself delivers a solid verse on here. Eminem here as well delivers dare I say one of his best verses this year, and I could appreciate the addressing of the George Floyd situation at the end of his verse. Either way, this was a very solid track where Cudi and Eminem have a surprising amount ... read more
... have we not learned from Supermarket to not do anything like this? Why would I wanna hear an already trash rapper G-Eazy to do shit like this?
Weezer's legendary self-titled debut contains some of the best rock songs of the 90s, but I kinda feel like the geeky and overly quirky feel within' the writing was kind of a turn off for me, and it prevented me from giving it the "true blue (no pun intended) masterpiece" title it has received. Cool production choices here and there, but Canibus still comes off as a very dislikable rapper on most tracks
Edit: Ok one more relisten of this thing, it’s a grower. I feel like this is one of the few moments of Canibus’ career where he never sacrificed his technical ability for making quality music. I definitely also appreciate Stoupe’s production on this thing as well, as the medieval and sinister vibe of it suites Canibus really well. Whilst still very inconsistent at ... read more
I know this may come off as kinda cliche and corny, but sometimes I forget how much of an impact Cudi was to me until I go back and revisit his earlier projects.
This album is just a combination of everything I love about Death Grips, and the aspects that make them such a special act in music to me. This also has some of their most memorable and catchy songs to date.
The highlights on here are incredibly high, however, this would’ve received a higher score if the tracklist was more consistent
Edit: What in the living hell is this update
I don’t like John Mayer. Outside of a few decent singles, and a slight appreciation for his talents, I never saw the appeal of his music outside of a boring white guy on guitar singing generic teenage love songs.
