I don't give out 100s lightly but this album deserves it. Every song is catchy, incredibly well-performed and amazingly produced. It's political, comedic, angry, and explosive. It's genuinely flawless.
Fly By Night isn't quite classic Rush, missing a lot of the boundary-pushing prog that defined their later albums. This is more a classic rock album with a little bit of prog for shits and giggles. It's still a good album but it definitely has nothing on the later albums that would cement Rush as prog GOATs
53 years after its release and Tapestry still stands as one of the greatest soft rock albums of all time, excellent musicianship, expert songwriting and genuinely great production that, whilst of its time, still has a charm that makes this album feel like the musical embodiment of a worn, wool jumper.

Side A is really good but when I'm putting Meddle on, I'm really there for Echoes. One of the best songs to ever be committed to tape
Very well-executed vocal-focused ambient/soundscape on display here. I felt like I was being transported to a different place
This album is best described as "nice"
Nothing jumps out as amazing or massively interesting but I guess that's the point. This album isn't to be critically listened to, it's serves as a soundtrack for life and it does a good job at that.
Absolute belter. Heavy, interesting, well-played and super catchy. Outro does suck, though. We all know you're acting
Kinda mid tbh. Chorus is okay. Best part is the bridge by a long way and that's more because the tone is meaty, not because the song is in any way interesting. First miss on this album
POV: Yes and Rush make a supergroup. Good but not amazing prog lacking somewhat in originality
A good but ultimately unambitious soft rock album. There are a handful of greats here but nothing that pushed the boat out as much as previous releases.
I had never heard off this band before stumbling across an advert so I gave this single a listen.
Safe to say I'm very much anticipating the full album now. This is a very strong release in every aspect. Good musicianship, and catchy hooks.
I'm not much of a hip-hop listener but man, is this good...
Would be really good if Giles didn't completely fuck up The End. Dude, you didn't have to pan the guitars.
Still, the extra material is good fun to listen to
Marcus' 2023 EP has me greatly anticipating a full-length release. She's definitely built a solid base to work from with warm and down-to-earth musicianship that makes Heart-Shaped Bruise a joy to listen to. I would love to see her push the limits a little bit more, though.
There's some good indie/post rock on display here. Sure it's not the most original or boundary-pushing material out there, but ultimately there's plenty to enjoy here and definitely potential for greater things in the future.
CAPRISONGS misses a lot of the art pop that I loved in her first 2 albums but it is still a strong mixtape showing a nice mixture of R&B, Dancehall and Glitch Hop. With a smattering of talented featured artists, this mixtape feels a little more collaborative than personal and definitely more upbeat than her darker first and second album.
Absolutely amazing Ambient/Art Pop. FKA twigs shows that she has more to show than just a great debut with a very good and quite different follow-up, showing more versatility, delicate performances and exquisite production. I personally prefer LP1 but this is still a monsterous record that I could just listen to indefinitely.
