Just look at that album cover and try to tell me that this won't be one of the most glorious albums you've ever heard (warning: impossible).
This is pure McCartney: catchy, goofy, and inventive as always. The synthesizer exploration produces some lovely ear-candy, and the simple acoustic closer "One of These Days" is an all-timer.
The first and last songs or atmospheric synthy jams.
The middle stuff occasionally feels less inspired, but the album never dips too far below the high standard it sets for itself.
Also it's called Mr. Hands which is hilarious.
I just love this series. Johnny Cash's sound becomes a little darker and weary on this one, picking songs that seem to reflect his struggles with illness and aging.
