Clairo's debut LP is bursting with the personality that made me fall in love with songs like Pretty Girl in some moments, but unfortunately a good portion of this is quite underwhelming. Nonetheless, I adore the potential that I see.

I really wanted to enjoy a Bieber album for once, I really did. I don't usually enjoy disliking albums unless they're memable, but this record isn't exactly Life Rolls On by Florida Georgia Line, if you catch my cowboy drift.
For the most part, the production sounds fine. Generic and overproduced, obviously, but not unbearable. Honestly I got a lot of enjoyment out of some basslines throughout the album, an example being the one on Deserve You, which is overall not very good but the ... read more
Michigan is like Illinois Jr. except it's technically Illinois Sr.
It's very good, obviously, but unfortunately it's largely overshadowed by how stellar its sequel was. Still though, there really isn't a bad song on here.

I'm waking up
To ash and dust
I wipe my ass and I slap my nuts
I'm breathing in
My genitals
I'm kekking in
And cringing out
No-scoping normies in the dark
This is it
The meme-pocalypse (Whoa oh)
I'm waking up
I feel it in my Doge
Enough to make my Pepes old

Elliott Smith delivers a collection of soulful guitar ballads that both sadden and warm the heart, displaying a strong talent for songwriting. I can't wait to dive into his discog more in the future :3

Finally, my FJM journey is completed (besides one EP apparently). And I gotta say, it ended fairly strongly! Like many have said, it is pretty disappointing to hear something so similar to his past works after the creative bounds he made on Pure Comedy, however I think that he takes what he was doing on album like Honeybear and perfects it to an even greater degree. The opener starts out loud and confident, and though that's a minor detail I think it immediately separates Favorite Customer from ... read more

i think it would be cool if there was hentai but in music form. i dont know how it would work, but i know the cover would have an anime babe on it, so now every time i see an anime babe on an album cover i get all excited. panchiko simply does not deliver on their promise of hot, steamy sailor moon hentai. my sister doesnt let me use her ipad anymore so i need them to be better.
EDIT: this is actually very quality music, idk why i was so hard on it in the past. also this goes without saying ... read more
[Verse 1]
When I was a kid
There was a store
Right down the street
We’d go to that store
And browse some films
That we can see
[Pre-Chorus]
To laugh, to dream
To fight, to scream

Morbid Stuff feels like a birthday party for the whole history of pop punk. Whether it be the Blink-182’s of the ‘90s or the Paramores and Panic!’s of the 2000s, every sound is celebrated here with PUP’s own touch of lush, bright production and genuinely passionate vocals. It all gives me a lot of hope for the future of the genre as a whole, which I believed to be dead at one point. Sick nasty, my dude!

It's been a while since I listened to an Alex G album, my last one being his 2017 album, Rocket, in summer of 2020, and I really enjoyed that record! I appreciated how it changed stylistically from track to track while still maintaining tonally consistent throughout, even when it would shift from calm indie folk to aggressive, lofi hip hop like something off of a Death Grips project. Thankfully, this record immediately welcomed me with open arms, starting off with melancholic acoustic guitars ... read more
