Amazing classic album from the most funkadelic hip hop group. They have such a unique and catchy style that works so well. This album has some of their biggest hits as well as some of their best written tracks as well. All the songs flow together and follow a strong concept. Amazing must hear album.
Good listen on this LP. A couple of duds in the track list and Jay Rock doesn't try to spit a crazy message or any deep bars. He just attempts to give a laid back album about his life. Has a couple of very high highs and the features on this album are all good.
Very good emo/trap album. Juice has very basic lyrics but they are powerful still. His voice and singing is very well on this project and this album has timeless cloud rap classics.
Incredible jazzy production and some of the best production I have heard, all a very consistent sound scape but the songs are all very long and can drag on at times and the lyricism isn't trying to do anything crazy as well.
This album sounds like you are being possessed and it shouldn't work but it does with this wild all over the place bangers.
XXX just proving everyone he is one of the most versatile rappers, he has very emotional cuts as you would expect as well as some head down bangers. He has a lyrical masterpiece with Joey Bada$$. If you are a fan of Emo rap this is a must listen.
Brockhamptons most emotional album yet. All the members have good chemistry but in this one sometimes members will outshine or block out other members which didn't happen on the Saturation series.
The production on this album is insane! Travis actually has some of his best writing on this as well. You get your usual trap bangers but all over super unique and identifiable tracks. Amazing listen and 17 songs with no outright bad songs.
Earl Sweatshirts most introspective work in a super fluid listen. Track list is super depressing as Earl goes into his own mental health. His pen game is just as good if not better than his usual work. The chopped up production creates an amazing soundscape as well. Amazing must listen album.
Kanyes most aware and conscious album yet. A nice and concise track list at 7 tracks long and barely over 20 minutes. Kanyes self awareness is awesome to see but you still get your fair share of head-scratching bars. Kanyes most underrated project for sure.
A truly beautiful album from Kanye and Cudi. So many melodic ballads that preach an amazing message. Kanyes production is top notch like usual and the two make a 7 song masterpiece with no skips let alone let downs at all.
MadeinTyo's unique sound and style is very refreshing and this album has a couple of songs that blew up that can bump occasionally, but getting an entire 14 song track list of his flashy and goofy style gets old very quick.
Kanyes attempt at a gospel album and for some reason when he tried to only use gospel it fell through. He has always had amazing gospel tracks on his projects and this one fell short. The only song I revisit is Follow God which is the only true hip hop song on the project.
Not too much to say here, there isn't anything outright terrible but this is one of the most boring and underwhelming project I have heard in a long time. Future and Uzi who both pave the way with unique styles don't do anything to get out of their comfort zone.
Two of the best melodic trap rappers team up here and it is super underwhelming. A couple of good tracks but a lot of bland songs and wack bars. This is the only Juice Wrld project that you can tell was all freestyled. Future and Juice just didn't quit blend together.
Eminem still on his corny bars and flows. Luckily he stopped trying to recreate the sound that blew him up in the early 2000's and now he is collaborating with new generation artists even though his last album was bashing new gen artists. Featured artists do mostly pretty well and Eminem has a couple of good songs on this album and that's the best I can say.
