Denzel Curry - TA13OO
90

Denzel's masterpiece with an amazing concept aggressive bars bangers and flows. Some of Denzels best writing and some of my favorite production Denzel has rapped over. All the features do excellent as well. Crazy good album.

Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music
85

Amazing album by Killer Mike his flows are aggressive and his bars are hard hitting. A well done concept album with incredible tracks and production. Overall great album

Drake - Scorpion
53

Not a bad album by any means but for someone of Drakes caliber it is definitely subpar. Just feels like drake is in cruise control. The hip hop disc is leagues better than the R&B tape as well

Roc Marciano - Mt. Marci
65

Incredible lyrical feat by Roc Marciano, with good production and amazing guest verses as well. First half set the bar really high that the second half couldn't keep up with, still an amazing project by one of the best underground artists.

Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb
49

Tylers most all over the place project. Has some glimpses of the maturity coming soon in his discography, all while still getting his experimental sounding music. Album has a couple of Tyler's best songs but also a mix of some of his messiest and hard to stomach songs as well.

Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo
92

The alchemist smooth and addictive sampling and production fits perfectly over Freddie Gibbs most calm project yet where he gets introspective on some tracks. You still get a fair mix of Freddie's rough and aggressive coke rape mantra. An amazing blend of the two sounds and Freddie's lyrics and flows are on their best as usual.

Playboi Carti - Die Lit
72

Don't go into this expecting lyricism or even songs that make sense to be honest. The vibe that Carti creates is immaculate with his adlibs production choice and energy. He continues to bend the boundaries of trap music

J. Cole - The Off-Season
78

J. Cole back on his mixtape vibe where he is just spitting bars and flows at an amazing rate. Not trying to stick to an intese thematic theme makes J. Coles lyrics and songs come naturally and it is an amazing listen. Some of J. Coles best individual moments on this tracklist.

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
100

An amzing album by Eminem. Some of the best writing I have ever heard from a technical stand point incredible uses of multi-syllabic rhymes. All the songs flow well together as well as having incredible concepts behind each and every track as well. One of my favorite albums OAT.

Drake - Honestly, Nevermind
32

Drakes attempt at EDM music and I have no problem with drake experimenting into this sound that he has done well with in the past. However this feels like a bunch of poor and basic EDM tracks. Production is lack luster considering the amount of well touted producers on it as well. Jimmy Cooks slaps though.

Lil Baby - My Turn
51

Another one of those formulaic trap albums with some high highs but some crazy bad tracks as well. Babys pen game isn't anything crazy but the energy and flows he comes with are aggressive and well constructed. Some amazing trap bangers on this one.

J. Cole - KOD
67

Amazing attempt at a concept album from J Cole however a few tracks feel a bit misplaced and the Kill Edward vocals are hard to get behind as well. Some incredible heart felt tracks on this project and some of Coles best singing performances.

Jack Harlow - Sweet Action
35

Jack Harlow has some good melodic performances however the basic production and basic and corny lyrics make this album not super smooth. Isn't horrible but is far from good

Future - Honest
39

Future is the king of trap music and has a few bangers over grimy trap drums and an aggressive flow on some songs. Has some really high highs but also some very low lows

Eminem - Kamikaze
53

The best album of new generation Eminem still quite a few corny bars and weird songs but a lot off aggressive angry lyrics and flows which is reminiscent of his early work. Strong start weak middle and poor finish

Malibu Ken - Malibu Ken
53

Very mind bending album, Aesop Rocks lyrics are weird and corny in a good way. Very experimental and slapping production. Very good project

Blu - The Color Blu(e)
69

Incredible lyrical feat all while sticking to a theme of the color blue in your life. You would think with 11 tracks all about the color blue it would get old of boring but it never does. Incredible feat for Blu.

JPEGMAFIA - All My Heroes Are Cornballs
79

Peggy once again making a super unique sound. Finding a way to perfectly blend brain piercing sounds with beautiful and catchy melodies. Album full of bangers proves Peggys spot at the top of the experimental hip hop scene.

Mac Miller - Faces
95

Amazing concept executed by Mac, super psychedelic and trippy production with Mac Millers introspective and self aware lyrics about his depression and drug use. Very humbling and amazing project

A Tribe Called Quest - We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service
78

An amazing farewell for a Tribe Called Quest. Amazing nostalgic tracks to their OG sound of boom bap production with jazzy soul samples. Great lyrics and an incredible sound scape. Incredible album.
