The original MCR version is one of my favourite songs of all time. This version is one of my least favourite songs of all time.
It hurts me so much that these guys took a beautiful yet extremely depressing song and turned it into a mindless party song with boring instrumentals and headache-inducing voice effects.
It pains me even more that there are actually Twenty One Pilots fans out there that aren't aware that this is cover, and even worse, think this is a good song.
Re-review:
Out of all of Tool's main albums, this is the one I return to the least. But whenever I do listen to this one, I love it a lot. I love it almost as much as I do Ænima. In fact, this albums holds some of my all-time favourite Tool songs, all of which I return to regularly.
This is an album in Tool's discography where I always need to be in a certain mood to listen to it in its entirety. I don't really know how to explain, especially since every time I go to these songs ... read more
21 Century Breakdown... the album where Green Day tried so hard to recreate their success of American Idiot but failed. It's clear that they don't know the best way to go about doing something like topping an album like American Idiot and ended up making their most boring and forgettable album to this point. It doesn't help that this album is an hour and ten minutes long with 18 songs. In fact, I'd probably say that it hurts the album, as there were just so many times I was hoping it would end ... read more
Re-review:
You guys don't understand what it's taking me not to give this a perfect score. I've listened to this album so many times that I've lost count. I love all of the main songs here so much that I would call absolutely all of them a 10/10. The reason why I'm not giving it its rightful perfect score? Those goddamn interludes!
Before I start praising this album beyond belief, I'm going to talk about the one thing I dislike about this album, and its those goddamn interludes. Before this ... read more
I honestly don't know what to say about this album because I honestly don't even remember too much from it, even though I just finished it.
Out of the ones that I heard, this isn't Korn's worst album. Hell, I would say that I enjoyed this a lot more than Untouchables and Look in the Mirror. There aren't really any songs that I hated or even disliked. However, the fact that I can barely remember anything from this album shows to me that this really wasn't worth the time.
Other than a few tracks ... read more
Take a Look In The Mirror is an okay album. There really isn't much to talk about.
Unlike other Korn albums, none of the lyrics stood out to me. When other Korn songs gripped me from their message, this album was pretty much just filled with songs that I felt relied on me enjoying the sound. And although I did feel that it succeeded in that, I did end up losing interest after the second song, and only picking it back up on the sixth.
Really, this album was just a disappointment to me. I wasn't ... read more
Anna von Hausswolff's Dead Magic is a dark and haunting yet beautiful and hypnotic album. Right from the get-go, it had me gripped and wanting to hear where it was going.
Lyrically, nothing stood out as I was so focused on the sound. The instrumentals combined with her voice had me so immersed for the duration of the album.
Really, the only problem I had with this album was the ending. I did feel like the last couple of tracks dragged a bit, which is disappointing after the amazing and longest ... read more
If this made it to her first record, then I'm sure this would have been one of my favourites of the album. I don't get how this didn't make it, it's so good.
The Miraculous is not Anna von Hausswolff's best work: it's not as intriguing as her previous two, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it is a great album.
Really, my biggest problem with this is that it didn't keep me as invested as it's predecessors. I felt that a couple of songs went on for longer than they needed to, and, unlike the other two, nothing lyrically stood out.
However, the instrumentals and vocals are just as great as her previous work, and I can definitely see myself ... read more
This song seems to prove that Slipknot are going back to their old sound, which I really hope is the case after the previous two disappointments.
To be honest, I don't know exactly what to think of this song yet. I've listened to it five times already, and I still can't decide if I like it or not. It's not as interesting as the stuff on their first three albums, but no where near as boring as the stuff on their previous two albums. It's not a bad song by any means, I just know that they can do ... read more
Honestly, as I jump into her music, Anna von Hausswolff continues to impress me. I feel like I managed to get into this album quicker than her first, and that's one of the main reasons why I liked it more.
This is a really interesting album. There isn't really any filler and it justifies the hour long run time. Really, the only track I would get rid of is one of the instrumental songs, but really there's no problem with it being there.
The instrumentals are somber and give off a feeling of ... read more
At first I didn't know what to think of this album. The instrumentation didn't impress me as, for the most part, it was just piano. However, the singing on this is what really makes this album really good. Anna von Hausswolff has a really beautiful voice, and the lyrics on all of the songs are all really good: sometimes they're dark, but sometimes they can be beautiful.
Really, there isn't a song on here that I dislike, making it hard to pick a favourite. It makes it even more difficult with ... read more
This album is a compilation of Green Day's three earliest works: their debut album '39/Smooth', and their two EP's, 'Slappy' and '1,000 Hours'. I'll keep this short as I have already reviewed each of these.
I feel like 39/Smooth and 1,000 Hours are pretty okay, but this compilation is ruined by Slappy, which I think is a really bad and boring EP. Other than that, there isn't much to dislike about it.

This really isn't the worst Green Day has put out, but it isn't all that memorable nor is there anything making me want to come back to anything on here. To be honest, all four of these songs are pretty entertaining. I mean, it could just be that I listened to it right after listening to another, more terrible, EP from them just a few minutes ago, but I thought this was okay. Nothing special, not something I would pick over other stuff they have, but it didn't make me want to turn it ... read more
How the hell do you manage to make four songs dull? Really, there are four songs and each of them left me bored out of my mind. I mean, it really says something when you're most notable song on your EP is a cover, and that cover is terrible.
To be honest, I don't even think the track that I name my 'favourite' is even one I like, it's just the one that I tolerated the most out of this mess.
Favourite Track: 409 In Your Coffee Maker
Least Favourite Track: Knowledge
This is far from the best debut album I've ever heard, but it's definitely not the worst. The songs are all very entertaining, but I feel like, compared to what else Green Day as put out, it isn't their best. You can definitely hear in albums like Nimrod and Dookie that they improved on their sound a lot. However, I can say that this is certainly not the worst I've heard from them, as unlike other albums, it actually kept me interested.
Overall, this is just a mediocre album that is a fun ... read more
To be honest, there isn't anything here that I could call terrible, but out of the ones I've heard from Korn so far, this is definitely the weakest.
Like I said before, there isn't a terrible song on here, but there aren't any stand-outs that make me want to come back to this. Every album before this, regardless of my opinion on the album as a whole, had something that I would come back to. Although there were tracks here that I liked a lot, none of them were something that I would come back ... read more
This is probably Green Day's most interesting album, most underrated album, yet at the same time their most forgettable album. Throughout the album, I was interested and there were very few times that I was bored, but when it ended it seemed that I couldn't remember anything that I had just heard.
To be honest, I don't even know what to say other than that. It's so goddamn forgettable, yet it's the Green Day album I had the most fun with. It's a shame, because if I hadn't forgotten pretty much ... read more
Green Day's Nimrod is a very enjoyable album, but there really isn't much to say. Every track on here is fun and the album itself barely ever gets boring. Really, the only tracks on here I disliked were because they were a bit boring, but there were only two.
Really, the only problem I have is that it's not all that memorable. There are no stand out tracks and there's nothing making me want to come back. It's just a decent experience with not a lot of bad about it.

Korn's fourth album is a significant improvement on their previous two but I would say is still not as good as their debut. Don't get me wrong, I still really like this album, it's just not as memorable as their first.
There is pretty much nothing bad about this album. Every song is enjoyable, interesting, memorable and kept me invested throughout the album. Even my least favourite songs on here were ones that I liked. There is seriously nothing bad about this album. However, it lacks the stand ... read more
