Re-review:
I seem to be in the minority who really think this is an improvement on Piper. I really don't get how people seriously think that Piper is better than this in anyway, and it honestly baffles me that there are people out there that consider this one of Floyd's weakest outings.
A Saucerful Of Secrets in the last album to involve Syd Barrett and the first to include David Gilmour. I think it was the best decision ever to bring on David Gilmour as, without mentioning their future ... read more
Denzel Curry has seriously impressed me. He has an undeniable talent and so much energy and over the course of two albums has already become one of my favourite rappers.
Imperial is a great album with so many great tracks and not too much bad. I generally don't care for trap rap too much, but every track on here had my attention for the entire album.
Out of the two I've heard, I do think that TA13OO is slightly better, only because it impressed me a lot more. However, this is still an enjoyable ... read more
I really didn't expect to like this this much.
This is easily the best trap rap album I have ever heard, with pretty much every track on here all being some of the best trap rap song ever. This genuinely surprised me so much.
Favourite Tracks: BLACK METAL TERRORIST; BLACK BALLOONS; SIRENS; PERCS; TABOO
Least Favourite Tracks: SUPER SAIYAN SUPERMAN; SUMO
As I have already reviewed the two albums separately, I will try to keep this short.
To be honest, I don't think that the two albums go well together. As individual albums, they're great, but having them together doesn't really make much sense.
However, they're still both amazing albums with some of the best tracks to come from Death Grips.

To be honest, this is pretty overrated. That's not saying it's not great, because it definitely is, but it's far from their best project.
Although there's nothing here that's necessarily bad, there are quite a few dull moments, which is something that I haven't found in most of Death Grips' other works. Furthermore, it did drag for a bit, and I did find myself hoping that some tracks would end sooner.
However, this is a great album with mostly amazing songs. Most of the tracks I loved a ... read more
Out of the records I've heard from them, this is definitely Death Grips' most experimental album so far. I can also say that this is by far their most entertaining album. For most of the listen I was just stuck listening not wanting it to end.
However, the one complain I have is that the song Have A Sad Cum is so obnoxious that it verges on unlistenable. I think I would even go as far as to call it one of my least favourite Death Grips songs. But pretty much everything else on here was near ... read more

Unfortunately, this album has grown off of me a lot, but do keep in mind that I still consider a solid 6/10 to be a good score. In fact, I still very much like this record, it just isn't anywhere near as good as it once was.
Firstly, I do very much appreciate that this is a very influential album. This record helped shape the British-punk scene of the '70s and '80s, and without this album many famous bands probably wouldn't have been as popular as they are today - hell, they may not ... read more
I really wanted to love this as much as the other albums, and I thought I would considering the opening tracks. The first two songs are some of my favourite songs out of the albums that I've heard from Death Grips, so I had high hopes. After track 5, it all falls down. Something that would've been an easy 80 fell down to a 60. And it sucks because those aforementioned tracks weren't the only good on here, either. Birds and the final track are absolutely incredible songs. It's a shame that a few ... read more
Incesticide is not Nirvana's best work (hell, I'd probably say it's their worst), but it's still pretty damn good. Most of the songs on here are catchy and enjoyable, and overall the sound is what you would expect from a band like Nirvana. However, there are a couple of songs that are just dull and feel like a chore to listen to. Furthermore, and this is more of a nitpick, but I hate what they did to Polly. The Nevermind version is so much better.

Weird how this album has grown on me to the point where I can happily re-listen to this countless times (something I really didn't expect upon my first listen), yet it has somehow managed to get an even lower score than I first gave it.
Something I don't think I will ever understand with the Pink Floyd fanbase is that there are a lot of people who prefer the Syd Barett era of their catalog. Some of the reasons I've seen being given is that Syd was a better lyricist and song-writer. ... read more
This is definitely a great collaboration. Although I haven't heard anything from Conor Oberst before, I can say that his voice goes so well with Phoebe Bridgers'. Furthermore, their styles also fit together brilliantly, creating a really fun listening experience.
However, I do need to step back and ask myself: how many times in the future will I actually come back to this? To be honest, probably not much.

Stranger In The Alps is a really good debut for Phoebe Bridgers and overall an incredibly emotional album. I mean, the first thing I noticed when I started this album is how depressing the lyrics and the vocal performances are.
However, I would be lying if I said that it didn't drag on for too long. I felt that, in the latter half of the album, it was difficult to keep listening because the sad vocals and depressing lyrics were starting to wear off. But again, I would be lying if I didn't say ... read more
Whilst I don't dislike this album, I do think that this is a slight step backwards for Death Grips. I mean, I expected this album to not be as good as The Money Store, but I didn't expect to not really care about it. Whilst there is nothing bad on here, I did feel like it dragged for a bit near the end of the album. Other than that, it didn't really grip me from the start, like The Money Store did.
As you can probably tell, all of my complaints are comparisons to The Money Store, so I should ... read more
What can I even say about this album that hasn't already been said?
I've just spent the past ten minutes trying to gather all of my thoughts together, but at this point I don't think I can. This album just left me stunned at how good it is and has me at a loss for words.
All I can really say is: believe the hype. This is an amazing record.
Favourite Tracks: I've Seen Footage; Hacker; Get Got; The Fever (Aye Aye); Double Helix
Least Favourite Track: Blackjack
In Modern Vampires Of The City, Vampire Weekend improve on everything they were doing in their previous albums. None of the complaints that I had with those two albums are here. Every track on here is great. The instrumentation and vocals are better than ever on here, and the song writing is amazing.
The only complaint I have is that a couple of songs aren't all that memorable in comparison to the rest of the album.

I'm kinda conflicted on Contra. On one hand, I like that fact that they pretty much improved the instrumentals in every way compared to their self-titled album. On the other, I think that Ezra's vocals were a lot more annoying on about half of the songs on here compared to the worst tracks on their self-titled.
Furthermore, I do think that it was a lot less interesting. I mean, it's a bad sign when your album is only 36 minutes and your listener loses interest on track 8.
However, this does ... read more
This Is Not The End is a solid rock album and a great debut for Spielbergs. Right from the get-go, it had me gripped and ready to hear more.
Really, there's not anything I dislike here. There are some really great tracks and some really good tracks. I actually struggle to find one that I could call my least favourite.
Overall, this is just a really good album that I would recommend to any fan of rock. I look forward to seeing what else these guys are going to make in the future.

And so with Meddle we reach the golden age of Pink Floyd. This is the first Floyd album that is truly great. This is the first classic. This is the first album they released where you can look back on it and think "This was a good time in their career." Not to discredit their previous albums at all as they've all grown on me to the point where I like them all, but none come close to the quality of Meddle and the albums following it.

I shouldn't even be surprised this is as bad as it is considering how soon it came out after Sweetener.
Just like that album, the best thing about this is Ariana's voice. Unlike Sweetener, however, this isn't enough to save this album from the uninspired, uninteresting and overall boring mess that plagues most of the songs. This just feels like such a huge step back for her.
To be honest, though, this isn't terrible. It's just extremely average, and considering how good Ariana's vocal ability ... read more
This is the first full album I've listened to by Ariana Grande, and I can say it is pretty good. I mean, it was nothing impressive, but it was enjoyable.
Instrumentally, nothing stood out as special. Really, the thing that elevated this album is Ariana's vocal performance. Other than that, this is just a watered down for radio album that is just overly predictable.
I feel like she has the potential to make something truly great in the future, but in the end, this album is just good.
