Many consider A Night at the Opera to be among the greatest albums of all time, and I can't say that I disagree. This is easily Queen's best work. No matter how many times I hear all of the overplayed songs on here, I can't help but love them. The other songs that aren't as overplayed are also just as enjoyable.
But, seriously, what's with all the hate on here? I mean, I'm not surprised that a band as famous as Queen would get hate, but the people here hating don't really say anything that we ... read more
This is probably Queen's first great album. Everything about it is just so entertaining, from the themes to the instrumentation to Freddie's amazing voice. Whilst I still wouldn't say this is Queen's best work, this is still an extremely fun and enjoyable listen with a lot of great tracks.
Favourite Tracks: Killer Queen; Stone Cold Crazy; In The Lap Of The Gods; Now I'm Here; Flick Of The Wrist
Least Favourite Tracks: Tenement Funster; Brighton Rock
I went into this knowing virtually nothing about this album. I came out extremely happy that I gave this a listen.
If any album lives up to the hype it gets, it's this one. Whilst I don't agree that this is a perfect 10/10, I can't deny that this is really beautiful. The gorgeous instrumentals goes so well with the vocals. This record was overall an extremely delightful listen.

American Football blew it out the park with this one. American Football is vastly superior to American Football, but I still wouldn't say it's as good as American Football.
In all seriousness, though, this is an absolutely gorgeous album. There are so many superb songs on here filled with stunning guitar work and great vocals. And while there are songs on here that I don't think worked as well as others, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Whilst it's far from La Dispute's best album in their discography (hell, it's probably their worst one so far), it's still a pretty good listen. I feel like the biggest problems I have with this is comparisons to Wildlife and Somewhere At The Bottom Of The River. Things like the sound not making me want to focus on the lyrics and finding out what the song is talking about. To me, that was what made those two albums in particular as good as they are: the lyrics. Yet with this, for the most part, ... read more
Queen's second album is an overall musical improvement on their debut. It is much more enjoyable and is an album that I can actually see myself coming to more. However, it still isn't Queen at their best. Honestly, it's actually kinda surprising seeing how Queen started off knowing what they would end up making in the future.

Rooms of the House is a really good album that is overshadowed by its predecessor. For what it is, this album is an enjoyable listen. However, I can't say that I care for this as much as their previous two. For one, this album isn't anywhere near as interesting as those two, nor does it have any stand-out tracks or anything at all making me want to revisit it. It was a good listen, but, personally, it just doesn't hit me like the other two did.

As much as I love this album, I can't help but think about how much better Wildlife is. Without question, this album is amazing, but it's clear that they perfected what they were trying to do here in their next record. As a result, I realized that I didn't enjoy this as much as I probably would have had I listened to this before that album. It's a shame really: I enjoyed this so much but just couldn't stop comparing it to the much better Wildlife.

Wildlife is probably one of the best post-hardcore albums I've ever heard. The amount of emotion pushed into every one of these tracks is unbelievable. The lyrics are extremely well-written and heart-wrenching, each song telling a dark story. The instrumentals compliment these lyrics so well. I genuinely love this so much and am surprised I've never heard of this band before.

This is such an enjoyable album! I mean, Sucker Punch is a really generic pop record, yet at the same time it's so much fun. Every single track on here was extremely catchy and just made me want to get up and dance, which was clearly the intention of the album. Whilst this is far from the best album this year, this was definitely one of the most fun.
Favourite Tracks: Strangers; In Vain; Sucker Punch; Mine Right Now; Sight of You
Least Favourite Tracks: Dynamite; Basic; Level Up
Whilst it has its moments, Good At Falling is a dull and uninteresting album. There are some songs on here that I enjoyed quite a bit, but, for the most part, I was just bored. This doesn't necessarily sound bad, it just isn't gripping. This works best as background music more than anything.
Favourite Tracks: Worms; Lilo; We Talk All The Time; Maybe You're The Reason; f a r a w a y

Stella Donnelly's debut album is certainly an impressive one. Her well-written, funny and clever lyrics alongside the delightful instrumentals throughout this album makes it impossible not to love. This is definitely a great record.
However, I can't say that this is an album that I care about all too much. Although I did enjoy it for a number of reasons listed above, I do have to admit that this really doesn't bring anything new to the table. I mean, it was an entertaining listen and I ended up ... read more
Queen's first self titled album is a pretty good debut and overall is an entertaining album, but I can't really say that I care for it. It's clearly nothing compared to what they ended up creating in further projects, and there really isn't anything truly amazing on here. This is just a fun and inoffensive album.
Favourite Tracks: Liar; Keep Yourself Alive; Jesus; Great King Rat
Least Favourite Track: Seven Seas Of Rhye
Edit: I'm not even going to bother re-reviewing this because I don't have any motivation to even listen to this again. I completely forgot that this album and this artist even existed until I just saw someone review it in my feed. I don't even want to listen to the rest of her stuff anymore because I can't remember anything from this.

Damn, first GREY Area, now this? 2019 is already shaping up to be an amazing year for UK rap.
From front to back, Psychodrama is a phenomenal, intriguing and incredibly emotional album. There is nothing to dislike here (except for Voices) and everything is nothing short of great. Lesley alone would have made this an easy 9/10, but then Voices had to come along and exist.
Overall, this album is absolutely amazing and I look forward to seeing what else Dave will make in the future.

I've been wanting to listen to Little Simz ever since I first heard her with Gorillaz. After listening to this, I can say she doesn't disappoint.
I love almost every aspect of this album. Her lyrics and flows are absolutely amazing and every track on here is nothing short of great. Hell, even the track that I will say is my least favourite was one that I liked a lot. This album has convinced me that it's worth checking out more of her work.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that The Endless River is terrible, but it's definitely bad by Pink Floyd standards. Not only that, but it's just boring. I mean, it does have it's moments, but it is definitely boring. Really, the fact that this is the final album from a band as great as Pink Floyd, it's frustrating; it's upsetting; it's just disappointing. They could have had such a better outing. Hell, The Division Bell, even though it wasn't their best album, would've been the better ending to ... read more
Whilst this is far from bad, I don't think this is anywhere near as good as their first album. The biggest problem with this album is that it tries too hard to replicate what they did well with their first but failed, resulting in pretty much the same sound but less enjoyable and memorable. Although I did like this record, I do have to admit that it did get boring at times. It's a shame because I did end up really liking their first LP, but I don't really care for this one much, it was just a ... read more
When this started, I didn't really care for it. Pretty quickly, though, this album started to grow on me. It just started hitting me in the feels and I still don't know why. Part of me wants to say that this album isn't anything special, because I genuinely don't think that this is anything amazing and is far from the best record I've ever heard. However, I would be lying if I didn't say that this hasn't left some kind of impact on me. Although I don't entirely understand the hype for this ... read more
