Aminé - Good For You
62

A good album for its time, but a little above "mid" for today... Don't get me wrong, I really like Aminé and I truly think that this album was probably a breath of fresh air for its time, but in today's time (2026), I think that it’s a tiny bit above average. However, I really like the jolly, happy, and danceable aspect of this album; it is still very cool and fresh for today, when everyone is trying to be so serious.

This is the only project I’ve fully ... read more

PinkPantheress - Fancy That
72

PinkPantheress doing what she does best !! I really like the upbeat very "jolly" aspect of this album, when listning to her it feels like wlaking through a field of flower near the sea while a hot day of summer... Very chill very cool !

Jordan Ward - moreward(FORWARD)
83

Is making a banger debut album a requirement now?? Because DAMN I LOVE R&B!!! "WHITE CROCS" already had me in a chokehold, but the entire album is just sooooo good!!! What I like about this album is that each track is considerably different from the previous ones, yet they all have that same "main idea/direction" which gives the entire album incredible pacing and makes it very easy to follow.
What is even more pleasant is Jordan Ward's voice!! It sounds like a mix ... read more

Childish Gambino - "Awaken, My Love!"
59

I mostly get why people like this album so much but at the same time I don't get it.... The album has some good ideas and some interesting sounds but overall it's just not it, the album get's boring fast (at least it recovers at the end when The Night Me and Your Mama Met plays) and most of the time the album is just too much, there is no time to breath or understand what's happing and I think it is very confusing...

Westside Cowboy - So Much Country 'Till We Get There
68

What a strange EP....
It's like the perfect combination between a breath of fresh air and nostalgia, it got some of that old guitar and battery and yet it uses some ideas that are far more recent... Kinda torn but it is flowering into my brain, might have to give another listen !

Celeste - Not Your Muse (Deluxe)
85

What a debut album, damn... I always loved Celeste on "Both Sides of the Moon" but I never gave the album a full listen. Her voice is absolutely stunning, wow! It's a combination of Billie Holiday, Billie Eilish (Billie²), Daniel Caesar, Amy Winehouse, and Adele and it is just pure honey to my ears. The only "flaws" I would point out are really small: first, it may be a tiny bit too repetitive at times, and second, it's maybe a bit too long (though not weird ... read more

Steve Lacy - Gemini Rights
76

Who could have believed that the guitarist/musician behind a good portion of today's "Hall of Fame" rap tracks was this talented??? Jokes aside, that's such a good, light album; it feels like eating ice cream during the late afternoon of a hot summer... Steve Lacy's voice is so relaxing and light that it almost melts into the music (beat/sample wise!). I'm really psyched for the new album!!!

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
91

Let me begin by saying that the feature lineup is absolutely insane 😭🙏 and they're all fire ??? Nah that happens once a red moon. And a teletubbies sample on "All things considered" ????
I was not that sicked to listen to the album but oh boy was I wrong this album is absolutely insane, the pacing is godly, some sing were so well tied together and the transition was so smooth that I didn't even processed it was the following one....
Why did nobody introduce my to ... read more

SERAPHINE NOIR - Avalon
83

What a pleasure to listen to SERAPHINE NOIR again...! And that mix of jazz, DnB, fusion, and even RAP!!!! (Specifically with the track "Sahel"). I just love SERAPHINE NOIR’s creative take on jazz; it’s such a good example of how jazz can still be produced nowadays and how you can use recent technology to produce such insane things! 😭🙏
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE consider listening to this album if you really like jazz!

Loopgarden - Noiris
84

The perfect soundtrack for a "black and white / Spider-Noir" type of movie... I really like the simplicity of this album. It’s mainly focused on the trumpet, and sometimes on the samples, but without making it too hard, and then voila: an insane jazz-fusion album!

BabyTron - Out On Bond
55

Fun lil EP, nothing crazy, I would qualify this a "lazy"/"sleepy" Babytron which is not my favorite style of rap (I'm a bigger fan of his "Stutter Flow" or "#CERTIFIED" style ((such a poser take))) but would stule recommend to listen !

Dave Brubeck - Time Out
83

Mannnn I love you jazz !!
Even more when it's one of the pioneers of modern jazz and a big influence on how evolved !!! Each instrument in The Dave Brubeck quartet is so well picked/played and belongs perfectly well in this album. It just sounds like honey in it's purest form... I LOVE IT !!!

Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született
63

Okay... So, I understand that this album is an important pillar in modern breakcore culture, yadi yadi yada, but it feels like too much. It's not horrible, don't get me wrong, but I feel like the beginning of the album was too overwhelming. It felt like everything was coming at you all at once and didn't leave any space for other ideas; they were all overlapping like crazy!
However, there are some tracks that are the most interesting in the breakcore genre. 'Második ... read more

Lil Darkie - SWAMP
60

I was so edgy back then...
Don't get me wrong I still like lil darkie but he doesn't sound the same as when I was at my lowest / younger. He does good music yes but not insane music like I used to think :/ this album is a great rage / yell rap album and lil darkie excels in this domain but the MAJOR flaw of this album is the features... They completely ruin the album in my opinion (except some few of them but that's rare).
So I'm quite bummed that it doesn't sounds like ... read more

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
81

A really good/cool album, it has an incredible start, i kind of underperforming middle/beginning of the end and recovers itself with a really good last tracks (exculding Disc 2).
I actually do like rock A$AP Rocky and I do think he is really doing a good job in testing new fields/ideas (even though the parts where he raps are as good as they always were when Rocky's rapping).
It's a grat album to listen if you like Rap n Rock fusion !!

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
95

I was actually supposed to do Don't Be Dumb by A$AP Rocky, but since I realized it was my 100th album review (including EPs), I felt like I needed to review a more personal album than just one that came out today...
I think Random Access Memories is the first album that introduced (and created) my love for electronic music. I remember so well discovering each track and how good the album is overall! I'm really happy to re-listen to this masterpiece, but really saddened that we're ... read more

Asoookha - Marigold
65

What a cool little album, it's funky, it's a perfect mix between breakcore, jazz (with a hint of city pop ?). Such a cool project you shoudl really listen if you like fast beats but also jazz !!

Cephas - The Resistance
62

But honey we have MF DOOM and The Alchemist at home....Apart from being the fusion between MF DOOM and The Alchemist (style/voice-wise), I think that's a good album, but it's not trying to differentiate itself from his inspirations. A lot of things are really well made and interesting; don't get me wrong, the beat work is absolutely amazing. However, maybe it's "too good" for some of the tracks where it "drowns" the rest of the song (lyrics, meaning, ... read more

Ziproom - ZOOM IN PEOPLE
82

"A BLANCO FEATURE?!?!?!?!?!

What I thought would be more of the same fromZiproom was, in fact, an upgrade of every albumthey've done! The beginning can feel a bit slow, butonce you stick with it, the album is amazing! While the first half is good, once you pass 'TARUMI (skit),' the entire album's atmosphere changes and it's absolutely mental.
The beats are insanely creative andthe flow and delivery are as good as the production.Honestly, I'm quite surprised ... read more

Ziproom - Ebis

I love japanese rap
How to be cool 1 : rap / 2 : be japaneseI orignaly discovered the tandem ziproom with their title "Dive" which was amazing and then Ebis came across my shuffle today and gave it a listen and damn is it a good ep, they beats are really original and the lyrics delivery is godly on each tracks, i really hope they decide to do more work soon !!
