AMAZING instrumentals completely ruined by the album's self obsessed and borderline disney musical lyrics that completely ruin it

only decent song on this album is plagiarized from the beatles mr joe hawley please take your meds and stop texting children

i once tweeted this as one of the best holding up albums of all time and i cannot disagree further

songs like the bidding, spring and a storm and ESPECIALLY ruler of everything are clear high points but fuck me the rest of this can be difficult to listen to at times

Especially since the closest comparison I can make in terms of sound is Cherry Bomb which is just perfect

Something I noticed is that every song starts off slow and the moment you think a song is going be something boring a guitar or a synth or a fucking choir comes in and turns it into beauty

Listen to this album, it’s so goddamn sick

very enjoyable album, to me it becomes not quite as engaging towards the end, but was still worth my time and definitely made me reconsider a lot of my stances towards metal

when the vibes are right this feels like the best album ever made

glad gambino didn't play it safe for his last album and instead made a movie soundtrack with a complete clusterfuck of genres and sound that despite some mediocrity throughout the tracklist made this an enjoyable listen
