Tyler raps better than 95% of hip hop and my boy fucked around and threw melodies in there. The fact he's putting a whole generation on Gangsta Grillz and DJ Drama is a blessing. Great album, great RAP album. So many amazing references, its OVERWHELMING, but in a good way.
Not bad like there are several really good songs. At this point they aren't trying to push the trap genre as they did with Culture 1, which is fine, but they put together a bunch of solid songs. If this were cut down to like 12 songs, it's on Culture 1 level.
I really want to like these guys but it becomes a problem where I'm halfway through the album and can't identify a single song from another. There is not one song above a 7/10 or below a 6/10 but because it is so one dimensional its below average. New generation trash rn.
Look I get the appeal, there are thousands of 15 year olds eating this up right now but a lot of the songwriting comes off as one dimensional to me. She's very talented and it shows on the more aggressive cuts but 50% of this LP sounds the same.
Nightmarish, nocturnal, consistent, and HILARIOUS. Nudy is Atlanta and Dr. Ev4l just displaying the quality we all knew he had.
Lmao HUGE improvement from KOD. Overall pretty consistent with a similar formula for most songs, like dude raps over three types of beats and that's it. I don't think he will ever top 2014.
THEY BOTH DID THEIR THING, THIS BEAT IS IT, THE HOOK IS IT, CARTI IS IT.
This is a good compilation. Was it worth over a year of hype? Maybe not, but regardless Thug brought out huge features for great songs. All of the critiques about filler are valid but remember this is a project to put on people on his label. Happy with the result and thank goodness Proud of You dropped.
85% of Tyler's fanbase will never listen to this project. Yes he has metamorphosed but there's so many raw concepts on this record. TBH I would rather get another album like this then a basic summer compilation for white girls to put on their emoji named spotify playlists.
The perfect halloween album. Every dark trap album is directly influenced by this. Beautifully haunting record
Benny is synonymous with consistency. It is sweet listening to him before he REALLY blows up, I cannot wait for the Drake collaboration. Plugs II is just another example of why Benny is top 5 in rap right now (yeah I said it).
Mac's best project. We peak into the dark corners of his mind. It's experimental, trippy, depressing, smooth. Looking forward to a larger audience listening to this when it arrives on streaming services.
Flew perfectly under the radar of the mainstream. He's just showcasing talent on quick 7-piece pack.
10 years sure goes by quick. He never lost who he was. Still embodying that dark fire he began with. Truly a pleasure to watch him progress.
