Uhm, this album was my introduction to Fleet Foxes. At the time, I was 17 and the album just came out. I saw it got 80 on Metacritic (tbh I don't trust Metacritic rating systems), so I was intrigued enough to give it a listen. Man, the first round wasn't so pleasant to my ears just because I was not acquainted to listening to layers and layers of vocals/choral, and the intrumentation was not what I expected. Everything gets worse when a rapper gets features
Some generic japanese sunshine pop but the gem truly shines when they experiment more in other songs.
Had the potential to be so good, with the classical elements and her vision. This project falls short because it's not cohesive and not fully developed. Wasted potential.
