It’s quite pretty and nothings free definitely does stand out, however it feels a little too hollow and short.
I kinda agree with what everyone else is saying, it just feels too long and mid to really be of any interest. There aren’t any majorly offensive parts but it just does close to nothing for me.
While it’s incredibly consistent, it feels too safe for its climate. Also the Glorious Game reprise didn’t feel necessarily at all and clashed with the rest of the album in my opinion.
So so so good, tracks like time to pretend, electric feel and kids of course stand out, but the rest of the tracklist delivers as well. I feel like there’s something missing for me to give this a 10 but it’s certainly one of my favourites albums of all time.
Perhaps one of the most iconic, classic, and influential hip hop records ever. NAS flows like water throughout the entire runtime, with a virtually perfect array of lyrics and cadences. The reason why this isn’t a perfect ten is because unfortunately I feel like as a listening experience it hasn’t aged perfectly, and the tracks can blend into each other while also not showcasing many peaks or artistic shifts.
The first half was really great and was filled with some amazing tracks, but I can’t help but think the second half lacked the calibre of the first half and faltered. The vocal delivery and tone from Justin is amazing, and the production was really interesting for the most part.
I like the dynamic tempo shifts and there’s some good moments in here, but it all sounded very similar and there wasn’t much that made it stand out as an overall project.
Wow this is some of the best music I’ve heard. I just wish it was in a slightly better format and on Spotify, and although the live aspect is definitely cool, hearing this as a finished recorded product would potentially result in me giving this a 9.5-10. Still one of the best albums this year (if it counts? Idk)
At first I thought the production was cool and that it was really overhated, but there’s problems with the lyrics, the second half really sucks, and it gets annoying and is way too long.
Note: score and review is only for the new tracks
These were all very solid and enjoyable, nothing too crazy and it felt very slightly lower quality than the rest of cmiygl, but sorry not sorry is absolutely amazing and really has me excited for the next phase in Tyler’s discography.
Very solid listen, great sound, the build ups were great and the pacing felt spot on. Some parts were weaker or uninteresting, but the overall progression of this is pretty damn good. Jumpsuit is amazing.
This was quite pretty, with gorgeous vocals from all three and a comprehensive track list. But I couldn’t help that feel Phoebe really outshined the other two during her parts, and the blandness of indie rock can shine through here and there.
Lana fully commits to a slower, slightly more trap influenced sound while still remaining loyal to her airy and angelic vocals. The majority of these tracks don’t really stand out by themselves apart from the singles, with only the grandfather song (can’t be bothered typing the whole title) really matching the grandeur of those tracks.
I think it was slightly too long and boring or uninspired at times, but regardless the atmosphere throughout the experience is very enchanting and ... read more
Somewhat of a hidden gem, I really liked the majority of this although some tracks felt obsolete or like they overstayed their welcome. I just really didn’t like the finale track, I thought it kinda threw off the whole project.
Incredibly consistent with an amazing production sound, and plenty of hard hitting bars with slick delivery.
Very interesting, unique yet familiar instrumentation. It’s packed full of emotion and meaning, I feel the format didn’t exactly click with me compared to Afut and bush hall but it’s still very good.
This was honestly quite enjoyable, a fair amount of forgettable and average songs but there were a few bops and anthems that did their job successfully.
