Good beat, good SZA, but unfortunately it's a fairly boring Drake. It may work better in an album context but this feels like he's drifting on the beat, continuing a fairly low effort string of performances tbh. I could see it working much better if it came after a quick hitting rap track, but this was just OK.
Drake's vocals on the start are actually pretty nice but it's the same exact melody over and over again, gets old.
Banger EP from MICO; an improvement in every way from second thoughts; vocals, production and lyricism. Check this out if you have 20 minutes-- fantastic pop rock/punk.

This one's actually pretty fun-- nothing crazy but good beat and enjoyable.
I like it and it's a little different than other CP tracks (feels a little NF)-- however what I will say about the recent Connor tracks is they don't feel hungry like Violet / Spinnin and stuff from last year. Am hoping to see a bit more of that come back this year. I've also noticed that the beats themselves have been less creative, which is disappointing because 100graham is actually very talented and capable of making great beats when he tries.
Following one of my favorite pop rock albums, SOUR, I had high hopes for this. Now having listened a few times I can better formulate my thoughts.
This album definitely feels like an older sister project to SOUR. It definitely develops on the ideas of SOUR and does not feel repeated, but does share similarities. I probably prefer the aesthetics of GUTS a bit more, but some of the song on SOUR more.
Songs like all-american play with this more, and I really like that. There are some ... read more
While a few of the ballads drag, the rest is either extremely cathartic pop like good 4 u or a stunning track like happier. Fantastic debut, wanted to review before GUTS.
Charlie can do a lot better than this-- hoping this new one will improve on it, return a bit to form. No More Drama is the biggest track with admirable qualities... everything else feels extremely soulless.
Individually I really like most of the tracks on here, lyrically and beat-wise, but man is it difficult to sit through the entire project at once. Just feels samey after a while. Each song is generally good but over time it is less enjoyable. Still his best album, I think, much better than HOPE.
Been sitting at 98 for a while, then 99, but screw it, this is a perfect song. Sampha's best.
Banger production, wonderful vocals, and clever lyrics on a topic that could very easily sound cliched and stupid. Check this one out.
Dang, way better than anything on CHARLIE. Vocals are so much more natural and the production freaking slaps. Wish there was a little more production variation towards the end tho.
Super catchy and experimental vocally. Some people aren’t gonna dig it and that’s fine but liked this one a lot. I think this is significantly more of a progression than vampire, and not the brutal 2.0 I heard it was going to be.
