I remember playing this in the car with my dad when it came out and he was just silent the whole time. and when it ended he was like "so that's what you like?"
yeah it hasn't aged amazingly well and gnash still sucks. but admittedly I have a lot of nostalgia with this and I'm always gonna love it. like someone else said, it is one of those "you had to be there" kinda things
MYYYYYY BOY, WE DONT SEEEEEE EACH OTHER MUCH
MYYYYYY BOY, WE DONT SEEEEEE EACH OTHER MUCH
ITLL TAKE SOME TIIIIME, BUT SOMEWHERE DOWN THE LINE
WE WONT BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ALONE
this album has driven me to tears so many times. beautiful and euphoric and cathartic as fuck
only listened in full once but holy shit yeah I get the hype. sounds like it could've come out yesterday or 20 years from now
could go up, but yeah every song on here is at least great and a few of them are some of my fav songs of all time
insanely underrated EP. first and last songs are so fun, second and third songs are two of the saddest rap songs I've ever heard. one of the best things alchemist has ever made
TOO MUCH LEAN, YEAH, UH, TOO MUCH ICE, HOLD UP (WOAH)
ONE MORE PINT, HOLD UP, UH, ONE MORE PINT, UH, YEAH
TOO MUCH LEAN, YEAH, UH, TOO MUCH ICE, HOLD UP, UH
ONE MORE PINT, YEAH, UH, ONE MORE PINT, UH, YEAH
ONE MORE PINT, UH, YEAH, ONE MORE PINT, UH, YEAH
ONE MORE PINT, YEAH, YEAH, ONE MORE PINT, YEAH, YEAH
TOO MUCH LEAN, UH YEAH, TOO MUCH ICE, HOLD UP, YEAH
ONE MORE PINT, UH, YEAH, ONE MORE PINT
a few years ago I played heavy focus on repeat while I played minecraft on peaceful mode and it was one of the most pleasant experiences of my life. I love adrianne lenker
edit: 90 -> 95
I can't stop listening to this album and it's quickly becoming one of my go to comfort listens. adrianne lenker is a generational writer
edit: 95 -> 98
okay this is crazy

NEW 10. I can't deny it anymore, there's nothing that I don't love about this album. ... read more
skipless modern classic, and some days I think it's just about perfect
the "WHAT DO I REALLY WANT TO SAY" on note to self almost always drives me to tears
thank you high school best friend for introducing me to modern baseball ilysm
TWIABP are one of the goats of emo. always justifying why I own like 6 of their shirts
my first phoebe song was smoke signals and it still wrecks me to this day. punisher is a better album but some of her best songs are on here
update: listening to scott street in tears
there aren't any bad songs, but there aren't any amazing songs. I'm sorry but right after this album ended I put on phoebe bridgers and it was great
most of the songs sound about the same. but this made me wish there was a wawa in my state
listened to this on a flight. might like it even more if I listen again in a place where I could flail around without getting arrested
