happy TWIABP fall !!! admittedly, as much as I consider them to be one of my favorite emo bands of all time, I haven’t listened to this album in like 5+ years cause I don’t remember loving it all that much. I just relistened and I definitely love it now, not as much as harmlessness but still
biggest problem is still the other male vocalist, the one that’s not david bello. sometimes they’re still a little too whiny and off key for me, and I get that they’re ... read more
I feel like I should like this a lot more than I do. today was my second full listen to this album and like......it's GOOD. but their other two albums are AMAZING. I like that it's a very different sound for them and I'm not opposed to moving away from the sample-based stuff. but I feel like there's something missing on a lot of these and I can't quite tell what it is. and it's weird because, contrary to the ratings on here, I actually like the second half of this ... read more
fuck I like this just as much as since I left you. some of my favorite songs of all time on here, songs that drive me to tears of joy. if stepkids weren’t on here, I think I’d like it even more than since I left you. but wow, incredible, joyous, euphoric album
third full listen I think, and it's even better than I remembered it being. so varied and creative and FUN. like god this got me dancing around at work. I remember last time I heard this and wildflower I slightly preferred wildflower, which might be crazy but I need to relisten to it again. but yeah amazing shit, I love
I played these two songs on repeat like 12 times each at work before I decided to stop. it's pretty addicting, and just as good as the original songs
so far, WORRY is still probably my favorite jeff rosenstock album, but this is still so much fun. so many bangers on here and jeff is just a great performer. now I need to check out bomb the music industry!
I don't even know where to start, and I feel like this review might be long for my standards
this is so frustrating cause there are no BAD songs on here, none of the songs like,,SUCK. but wow this does absolutely nothing for me except really really frustrate me to my core for a number of reasons. this might just become a rant. okay before I even get into the music, this is the most insultingly boring cover art I've maybe ever seen. this and viva las vengeance are battling it out for ... read more
I don’t even have anything to say. it’s good kid m.A.A.d city ‼️ absolute classic
revisited this for the first time in several years in preparation for his new album, and wow I like it even more now. I don’t know if there will ever come a time where this doesn’t sound futuristic. so fucking weird but so catchy most of the time. occasionally it does sound kinda obnoxious, which is why it’s not like an absolute all timer for me. but I’m still very happy I relistened to this cause fuck it’s so good and so fun
I don’t love this quite as much as her recent more densely arranged stuff, but it’s still undeniably gorgeous and lovely. I do think some of these songs would’ve benefited with something more than just her and the guitar. but yeah still great, love love love
just finished listening to this for the first time. it’s late at night, I’m staring at my ceiling and I don’t know what to do with myself
okay that was one of the most impactful first listens I’ve maybe ever had. never heard anything quite like it. just so despondent and beautiful and unnerving. first song was so pretty but I was so anxious the whole time cause I just wasn’t sure if it was gonna burst into something crazy. but no, just pretty the whole time. but ... read more
GOD it’s so good. this was my entry point into his music like 7 years ago and it’s aged so well. so jagged and textured and transportive and beautiful. like I feel like I’m in a dark dingy techno club in space or something. one of my fav electronic albums of all time
very likable and pretty ambient album. still has that distinct jon hopkins soundfont, even if it’s not my favorite thing he’s done. I think he thrives the most with stuff like immunity and singularity, but this is still really nice. just don’t think I’ll be coming back to it, I’ll stick with his older stuff
is it just me or was that super mid
like I’m disappointed. future himself was okay, but he’s not doing anything that interesting. and these are some free on youtube type beats for the most part
really need to listen to his previous couple albums again cause this was great. shit had me really moving at work, I lost myself in a lot of this album. great shit
damn I really liked this ! he’s got a great voice and it sounds like this is exactly what he’s wanted to make for years. not every song is super memorable, but it started and ended really strong. I really need to relisten to brockhampton’s stuff
struggling to find something to say about this. none of the songs are bad but they all kinda sound the same and none of them grab me in any kind of way except for maybe piano instrumental. not bad at all, just kinda uninteresting
sounds great for a live recording, all the songs are really good ! but I wouldn't listen to these over any of the studio recordings on the album or 4d country. I do really love the full piano rendition of domoto tho
