I think it’s good. I just don’t think this is an album for me. I think the production is good, but it doesn’t serve slowthai that well. Maybe his other albums will be for me. I just thought this was pretty alright and nothing else.
It’s really really good. I just think there’s a decent amount of filler and interludes. If you cut down a third of this album, it gets way better.
I just don’t think I’m a fan of grunge. It just feels like the epicentre of rock music, pulling from everything and thus, sounding like a complete average of everything. Nothing really jumps out at me.
Starts out really really strong. I just think it could’ve finished a little bit stronger. Then it would’ve been a mixtape for the ages.
I liked three cheers for sweet revenge, but this is just on a different level. The production is phenomenal. It’s so crisp and hard hitting yet soft when it needs to be. The overall concept is really gripping and it gets pulled off really well. Same thing with the vocals. They sound great. Passionate, but not annoying. I’m so glad I finally decided to give this album a listen. It was so worth it.
I think this album is actually really really good for what it is. I know people think it’s generic indie slop but I think it’s just so much more. It’s well produced, powerful, inspiring, and sad at times. The vocals capture these feelings all beautifully, and while there are some tracks that drag on, the powerful tracks really soar in comparison.
Honestly really embarrassing for an artist of her calibre to release something so childish and immature from the lyrics to the production. Despite that, it’s still also boring, which is lowkey impressive. But I never want to come back.
I do think this album is weaker, but it’s cool to see where he started off. His sound is fresh even back then.
A really passionate and cool take on a Midwest emo album. I will definitely check out more of their stuff. The mixing felt a little off during some points but overall, I enjoyed this album a bunch.
This album sounds a whole lot better in the hockey dressing room than in headphones. It’s also just not exceptional to me anyways. I think that’s just me not loving this style of maximalist hard rock from the 80’s though. Axl rose isn’t that annoying. But when he is, it’s bad.
Even with its short runtime, I was sometimes bored. I don’t know how that can happen.
