Flip a coin. Heads it’s a beautiful ballad and tails it’s whatever beck wants. Whether that be songs inspired by nu metal or even hip hop. This album has it all. But I only really want one thing at the end. And that’s more of those sweet rock and country ballads

Wtf is this and why is it so good

I love Tim. But to me, this reads as very boring background music I’d hear while watching an educational video on YouTube

Most relaxing post rock album I’ve heard yet.

This album, top to bottom is stunning. Every icy sounding synth key is awesome and adds to this cold, somewhat dark atmosphere. But I will say, this album can feel really, really empty at some points. Which is sad because I haven’t really heard post rock made like this before. Still a great album though

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to describe how monumental this album is. Not just in the swans discography, but for music in the 2010’s. While also starting one of the best three album runs maybe ever. The journey I went through listening to this thing is one to be remembered forever.

Stevie couldn’t make bad music even if he tried

While sounding good, I cannot stand how over the top this album is. Also mr M83 himself kinda sucks behind the mic and this thing should not go on for over an hour. Especially that last bag of tracks. It’s such a drag to get through with pockets of cool sounding synth pop and electronic music

While being a one trick pony, it does what it wants to do so damn well

This thing is horrible. Complete with terrible singing that’s trying way too hard, terrible production that’s trying way too hard, and the horrible, horrible writing. I don’t get the very little hype this thing has.

First track is great, last three songs are great. Everything in between is rinky dinky classic rock that I struggle to get invested in

Bladee works around his obvious shortcomings to make a pretty sweet sounding and tight running album

If Giles Corey was ok computer, this thing is kid a. But in the best way possible

The band come so close to the sound that would define their greatest moments. Just a tiny little sliver away. But came up short. That being said it’s still swans so there’s still quality there. Just not enough for this to be a definitive album for the band.

For any other band, this would be their best album. But Godspeed already perfected their craft on the two albums before this one. Also this one gets kinda boring in the middle

Motherfucker sampled duck hunt and Miles Davis on the same album. That’s all you need to know

It’s humanly impossible to hate this album.
