It's a nice and somewhat fun project, I find the title a bit underwhelming in the sense that I would have appreciated it if the song was more energetic at times but it's still catchy and nice. "JUICY JUICY" is fun and "Raincoat" is a nice rnb song as well. As for "Smile With You" nothing too special comes out of it but it's not a bad song either so I'm rather fine with it. As ShadeRD said, it works well in the back to hear some easy-going and fun ... read more
'Apocalypse: From Us' follows the custom of the rest of DREAMCATCHER's projects. Except it uses fewer electronic elements than in previous EP such as in 'Dystopia: Road to Utopia'. I find the project more rock than ever before and I'm all here for it. Now I tend to like all of the group mini-albums the same amount or so (and you can see with all my 70/100), so to class this one among the other projects is out of reach for me, but if I really had to, I think it would more likely be in upper tier ... read more
ENHYPEN's first two projects are still some of my favourite boy groups EP. The [new] songs they had on 'DIMENSION : DILEMMA' weren't as good and 'MANIFESTO : DAY 1' was a disappointing project coming from them. So it's normal if I wasn't as excited as before when I entered this.
Despite a really nice intro, the rest of the project feels flat. If you're looking for some sonic consistency you will not find it here, I really thought the group found its sound fast with their first 3 projects, but ... read more
Before I even start the review I would just like to point out how cool I found the concept (teasers, pics, etc), I think the group always came up with good and original ways to promote their comeback and this one might be the most unique yet. With the whole "original series" thing, the beautiful concept pictures and the videos they did. Even the concept of "relooking" a less good-looking/trendy girl is kinda fun and feels like some 90s American movies or Katy Perry's ... read more
Quand j'y pense j'aime vraiment bien sa voix, même si ça reste souvent monotone c'est plutôt agréable.

When I think about it I really like his voice, even it's often quite monotonous it's pretty pleasant.
I think some french people really have something against young (most often girls) french rappers. Genre dilan qui me semble très con mais bon. This album is far from being awful, in all three aspect production, lyricism and vocals. Honestly I find it quite fun and got "son lot de surprises" (which would translate to "being packed with surprises" i guess?) despite not being the most challenging album. There are obviously a couple of basic and cringe moments but there ... read more
After deceiving most of us with their 2nd EP "Girls" - which almost felt it didn't even happen at some point - I was looking forward to this one hoping for a project that could erase "Girls". I have now the honour to tell you that this mission was accomplished! With 'MY WORLD' aespa offers a very good compilation of tracks, from their hybrid trap signature sound on "Salty & Sweet" to their sweeter rnb side on "Thirsty". And anyone who says aespa ... read more
After a lot of waiting, tripleS' second unit is finally making its debut. Not gonna lie Acid Angel from Asia's album was my favourite debut of 2022 and tripleS first EP as a full group is standing in my top 3 of 2023 K-pop as of today, so if you're wondering how high my expectations were, I can tell you that they were quite high and that might be a reason behind the 75/100 instead of 80/100 (as of now at least). I've been staying in touch with the group and while not being too involved in ... read more
Another very cool one! It feels a bit more like some of their previous stuff but I won't say too much and keep my word for the EP review ;)
Is this a sign that aespa is back with something good enough to erase the feeling of disappointment left by their last mini-album? This is leaving me super curious about what the group is up to, I didn't see any song preview yet (legit dk if they posted one yet) so even if I'm really going in this EP expecting something that takes back on their futuristic sound, "Welcome to MY World" makes me think we might get something a little different from their past releases and it's getting me ... read more
1 year after their debut (22/05/02) LE SSERAFIM are releasing their first full album - or should I say 3rd EP? (it doesn't totally feel like a full album as only 7 songs are brand new ).
Like in their previous projects, we start with a long spoken word-based intro, I really like how "Burn the Bridge" starts as this dreamy and soft song with sounds of birds, and slowly builds up to be something more energetic with the dnb drums and distorted guitar riff.
"UNFORGIVEN" is ... read more
Some things I appreciate about Seventeen are not only the constant production & writing, but also how with every comeback they manage to deliver both risky songs that tend to be hit or miss, and genuine good music. This piece being a prime example.
The albums open with "F*ck My Life", which is not a bad song but feels blend at times, which didn't stop me from enjoying some of it.
The real deal comes right after with the title track "Super", I first heard it on M ... read more
As BTS continue their solos roll-out, it's now Suga aka Agust D (for years I thought it was AUgust D) to drop his first album - after two mixtapes - which is the third and final project of this era(?), - which is funny to me as the first two instalments were mixtapes and then suddenly an album but ok it's probs just me.
With the first three tracks, we get very energetic and fast-paced raps laid on loud and deep 808 where you can hear Suga take inspiration in UK drill - mostly with ... read more
Woo that was a lot of fun actually! The drift phonk in "I Don't Wanna Know" - which kinda sound like the k-pop ver? of "Unholy" but without the annoying parts - and in "KNOCK" (to a way lower extent but present in the drop imo) is quite fun and brings a nice energy to the project and makes it completely stand out compared to anything being released in the girl group realm nowadays. "Don't Be A Jerk" is another great synthpop track and unlike Kep1er's ... read more
IVE's first full album is finally here after 3 single albums that contributed to making the group be loved within South Korea as well as in the Western market.
Unfortunately, most songs aren't memorable and don't really make you want to go back to the album. I find that they do better on dance-pop-oriented and brighter songs such as on the title track "I Am", "Mine" and "Not Your Girl" but when it comes to tracks with a more minimalist and simple production, they ... read more
It looks like it took Kep1er their 4th mini to drop a project that feels good from A to Z, without songs that leave an annoying or messy feeling. This EP is filled with great dance-pop tunes, some synthpop and funktronica here and there to bring a nice energy to the overall project and of course catchy choruses.
Apart from "LVLY" which is less my kind of thing I enjoyed each song. Surprisingly the synthpop track "Back to the City" wasn't my favourite here as I found that it ... read more
