Björk - Post
90

Post by Bjork is an excellent album that expanded way more her music style and genre reach. The variety on here is absolutely amazing, it goes from electronic tracks, to jazz ones, to classical ones, and the fact that the songs still are great after many switches in their sound makes Bjork such a special and unique musician.

J. Cole - 2014 Forest Hills Drive

Good album, but overrated.

Imagine Dragons - Mercury – Act 1
10

Sorry for my language but this album is an absolute shit show, there is barely any redeeming qualities on here, and the songs are so generic it's unbelieveable. I hate this band 10 times more now, they straight up show how rock has died and the succesors are trash. I even had high hopes for this one, but Imagine Dragons just won my second lowest rated album of all time.

Yard Act - The Overload
50

Yard Act are a rock band from England that have debuted this year with their full length LP "The Overload". This release was kinda of a mixed bag, it had very good and consistent tracks that for me worked very good as experimental rock efforts, but there's other songs that to me just don't stand out. I like the energy of this band, it's like a less tense IDLES. Overall this was a very nice project, and it may standout as one of the best debuts of the year.

Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork
90

Like Clockwork is a sound changing album by qotsa after looking for a new sound in albums like Era Vulgaris and side projects like Them Crooked Vultures Josh Homme found a new pop rock driven sound to use for the band. After dealing with depression and the health issues during early 2010's Josh wanted nothing to do with music till bandmates from qotsa inspired him to create a new album and make a new sound in it. Like Clockwork has a lot of themes of death and hope, but also has a inner ... read more

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon
100

The Dark Side Of The Moon is one of the most important and influencial albums of all time, but many people ask why? Is it the greatest album of all time? Is Pink Floyd the best band to exist? Is Dark Side even Pink Floyd's best album? Pink Floyd is a band that a lot of people talk about and debate about. But why is Pink Floyd so mainstream, how did a progressive rock band get so much cultural importance? And i think that the brilliance about this album is that it is like one song, "one ... read more

Queens of the Stone Age - Rated R
70

Good record, but a little overrated, since i kinda prefer the lighter version of qotsa compared to the heavy olivieri version that still kicked ass by the way. Awesome tracks, but auto pilot is kinda bad.

Steven Wilson - THE FUTURE BITES
50

The image Wilson created for this LP is very interesting, i dig most songs on here, but i also think this is his weakest material with some weak songs. But overall it's good, just good.

System of a Down - Hypnotize
70

System Of A Down's last record is their best for many reasons. First of all it has one of the best songs they have released ever being "Holy Mountains". Second of all the album is heavily consistent from beggining to end. Third of all thr guitar work on this album is amazing, Daron Malakian created his best riff's for Hypnotize and it's also quite outstanding how good Mezmerize is, since it was made in the same period of time as Hypnotize. The band matured a lot from albums like STA ... read more

Best grunge album of all time. I cannot believe the quality of this LP.

Men I Trust - Untourable Album
70

Men I Trust is a band i just got introduced to, and this album has been a great first experience, it's very smooth and catchy. The bass is absolutely awesome and the vocals are heartwarming and beautiful. Second best album of 2021!

Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop
100

Stone Temple Pilots is my favourite band ever, and Tiny Music is my favourite album ever. I get that not all tracks on this album are 10/10 but i just find them all amazing, even Art School Girl and Tumble In The Rough are songs i adore (both of them probably being my least favourite on the album). Tiny Music is a experimental rock masterpiece, it has a total change in sound from their previous 2 releases (Core, Purple) witch are grunge or hard rock albums, if you listen to Tiny Music and then ... read more

Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album

Probably one of my fav Aphex Twin records, plus it's also very easy to digest. This should be the first Aphex Twin album you should listen to.

Radiohead - Kid A
90

Many call Kid A the greatest left turn in music history because of the sound transformation in comparation with OK Computer, The Bends and Pablo Honey. Every track on Kid A is a new adventure and it especially put's you in the bands dark and depressed mind that created post Kid A masterpieces like Amnesiac and A Moon Shaped Pool. Also the drums on this albums seem simple but are way complicated, just take for example tracks like: Morning Bell, The National Anthem and Optimistic. This album ... read more

Pearl Jam - Ten
90

Ten is one of the most essential grunge albums, and one of the most succesful ones. Ten is a great rock album with a background of hardcore bass and drums that make Pearl Jam get into the label of "Grunge". The drums is my highlight for the record especially in tracks like: (Even Flow, Why Go?, Jeremy, Once). But another highlight is the smooth vocals performed by Eddie Vedder on songs like Oceans and Black. Pearl Jam is considered in the big 4 of grunge thanks to albums like this.

Billie Eilish - Happier Than Ever
60

This album by Billie really amazed me especially with me having no hopes on her discography at all due to her emo style that i didn't like much. I see Happier Than Ever as a big improvement from her previous two releases that were quite overrated by criticts and the music media especially with the absurd amount of grammy's she won. But on Happier Than Ever she improved, her style got better and she is finding better ways to use her fragile voice on songs like Getting Older were she uses ... read more

MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
70

MGMT is one of the best modern duo's of this century due to their quality in their discography with three great albums like Little Dark Age, Congratulations and of course Oracular Spectacular. This album is a great definition of good indie-pop especially showing their experimental and progressive side in various of these songs on Oracular Spectacular and also on albums like Congratulations and their self-titled release that also see a big growth on their psycodelich and experimental or ... read more

XXXTENTACION - 17
20

XXXtentacion has to be the most overrated rapper of all time especially having absolutely terrible albums in his whole discography but due to these emo hits he has gained undeserved recognition to all these boring songs with bad shallow vocals that can be annoying and a little cringy sometimes, but i can still connect to his emotional side on this album because his voice is charged full of emotion.

Tame Impala - Currents
80

Tame Impala is one of the best modern music projects because of albums like these. Currents especially stands out because.of its growth from the guitar driven psychedelic rock that Kevin Parker used for Tame Impala's first two albums. InnerSpeaker and Currents are both Tame Impala's best album, both are tied for me, but i have more love and nostalgia for InnerSpeaker

Opeth - Deliverance
90

Had been waiting a long time to review this album by Opeth (one of my favourite progressive metal bands of all time) This album has to be Opeth's heavier one along side with Orchid or My Arms, Your Hearse. One of the greatest things about this album is the amazing production by stellar prog master Steven Wilson. Also i think this album along side Blackwater Park influenced a lot of Porcupine Tree's post Lightbulb Sun albums like: In Absentia and Deadwing.
