Metallica - Ride the Lightning
90

In my opinion this is the best metallica album and maybe one of the best thrash metal albums of all time. I also could say that every member was in their prime (especially Cliff), but the biggest part of the album is Lar's drums, plus the drum fills are great like in Creeping Death.

Rush - Permanent Waves
90

Permanent Waves is an album that changed Rush, and the way they make music, starting with the structure of the album being way more shorter (songwise) and separating a little from the Progressive Rock epic's that the achieved on Hemispheres and 2112, and growing from that sound into a way more direct form of music that will continue until Signals. This is also Rush's best album and i have my reasons: It has a great epic (Natural Science), it has three radio friendly hits (Spirit Of The Radio, ... read more

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
90

Its because of albums like The Lamb that Genesis is considered to be one of greatest progressive rock bands of all time. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is like going to theatre, you just have to close your eyes and let your imagination do the work. The story mastermind Peter Gabriel created for this is absolutley amazing and magical, creating monsters and ilusions for our main protagonist lost in New York looking for his long lost brother. This is the best Genesis album along side Foxtrot and ... read more

70

This is in my opinion Kanye's second best album for many reasons. First of all this album has 20 tracks and yet there is no filler tracks that make the album boring. Second of all it has many of the best features in any Kanye album, with (Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, etc.) So i think this album has changed Kanye's way of making music especially looking into a way more electronic sound on albums like Yeezus and Ye. And i can also see clear influences from To Pimp A Butterlfy, with ... read more

David Bowie - Low
80

Low was a completely new offering by the rock legend David Bowie, especially considering how short the songs are this kind of album was totally unexpected from the music industry. Low could be one of Bowie's most experimental records of all time. Every song on this album is awesome and brings new things to the table. Overall Low is one of Bowie's best albums if not his best.

Puscifer - Existential Reckoning
50

Puscifer used to be a side project for Maynard that started when Tool went on a hiatus that went for 13 years (2006-2019). So Puscifer released various Albums, EP's, Compilations, but the best one of all of them is Existential Reckoning. This record shows a great new modern sound on single's like Apocalyptical, that often had a more electronic sound compared to the cowboy rock albums like Conditions Of My Parole or Money Shot. The production on here is great, but the best thing about this album ... read more

Faith No More - King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime
90

I used to despise Faith No More because i thought they were a generic band with a bad voice, but now Faith No More is one of my favourite bands of all time, and especially thanks to this album they stand so high in my heart. This is a way more bloated album than the rest but i think that helps in a way, i mean like they have a new incorporation of instruments that make it being long still feeling fresh in a way. King For A Day and Digging The Grave are two of my favourite songs of all time. ... read more

Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
100

Porcupine Tree is one of my favourite bands of all time and part of that love is thanks to my obsession with Steven Wilson's music. Fear Of A Blank Planet is the peak of Porcupine Tree's creativity, with every aspect of the band appearing in this album, and especially Anesthetize being the song that represents the band the best, i mean that song feels like 6 put together. The concept behind this album is a world controlled by screens, and that screens destroying the youth and teenagers life. I ... read more

Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel
80

Peter Gabriel is an awesome musician and it because of albums like these that his is so regarded as one of the best artists of all time. If you like the Genesis period with Peter i assure that you will love this album, it nearly feels like a genesis record. There a lot of songs on here that i think are underrated, like the opening track Moribund The Burgemeister witch to me is a awesome prog epic that makes this album a great listen. This is my favourite record by Peter in his solo career along ... read more

Gojira - Fortitude
80

Gojira is a very praised progressive metal band that i adore, and the latest release by them didn't dissapoint at all. Fortitude is a great and heavily consistent record that is composed by 11 tracks. I have an obsession with the high pitched guitar note Gojira use many times throughout the album in songs like: New Found and Grind. I always thought that the Duplantier duo have been one of the best French musicians to exist. The drums and bass on Fortitude (The Album) are a great contrast of ... read more

Thom Yorke - ANIMA
70

I love Thom's music from Radiohead and some of his solo records like The Eraser and Suspiria, but listening to this album is like a new electronic side to his life. It's not the same type as his other releases, but it's way more dense and darker than the other ones. The production on here is crazy, it's on like TPAB level of high production. Sometimes his voice can get a little boring with the deep tone he uses but when you like really think more into it and here the thin and high background ... read more

Blur - 13
70

Blur has to be one of my favourite pop / rock bands and they were famous for being one of the most important acts of britpop in the world. 13 is a new turn to Blur's music with a new experimental side kicking in the album. 13 starts of with a long and soothing song called Tender that opens in a warm way an agressive and experimental album. Then it follows with Bugman an awesome track that feels very mean and hard as experimental and progressive at the same time, and that's what this album is ... read more

TOOL - Undertow
90

Undertow is in my opinion tool's most underrated release, i mean it's amazing and there's not a single weak song beside the closer witch is straight up just pure none sense. The album opens with Intolerance witch is one of the songs that got me into early tool (or the Paul D'Amour timeline). Then it follows with the second track called Prison Sex witch is in my opinion Tool's first masterpiece. I have a hot take with the first track on Sober, and in my opinion Sober is one of the weakest songs ... read more

Genesis - ...and then there were three...
80

Genesis was firstly known for being a happy progressive rock band from the mid 70's, until Peter Gabriel left the band in 1975, with the drummer Phil Collins taking double duty from now on as lead vocalist and main studio drummer for the band. Their first two albums A Trick Of The Tail and Wind & Wuthering were very chill projects that remained to be fantastic and charming with a little of more rock being incorporated into the instrumentation. In 77' after Steve Hackett left the band there ... read more

Måneskin - Teatro d'ira - Vol. I
30

I knew from a start that maneskin wasn't gonna be a good listen, i knew their hits like: I wanna be your slave and beggin', and i despised them, they were very generic and boring for my rock taste and i couldn't understand how people were calling these people "rock stars". The first track suprisingly starts off the album in a great way, but it just gets your hope's up for the rest of the album. There's zero consistency in the record, it's just a bunch of generic guitar riffs with a ... read more

Run The Jewels - RTJ4
80

Run the jewels has become one of my favourite rap/hip hop duo's of the 21st century. And my favourite album by them for now is this holy release from last year. It's a great album all the way through and i find every track to be at least good. The features on here are insanely good and diverse, with artists like: Zach de la Rocha from Rage, Pharell Williams, Josh Homme from qotsa, 2 chainz, etc. The album starts of strong with yankee and the brave (ep.4). Then it follows into ooh la la witch is ... read more

Radiohead - Amnesiac
70

Radiohead is a lovely band that i have connected to a lot emotionally, and Amnesiac is one of my favourite albums from Radiohead in that sense, every song with vocals on it is heart felt and very emotional. Not many people appreciate this LP, because it can be different and all, but it's still a piece of art. It's well known that Amnesiac and Kid A were recorded in the same sessions, and that is also seen as a bad thing for this album, since it's portrayed as if the songs from Amnesiac are ... read more

Fleetwood Mac - Future Games
70

Hey it's me!, yeah i'm back after a long while of busy days. But today i'm gonna talk about an album by Fleetwood Mac that was released in 1971, before they were even well known as a hit band. Future Games is a Blues / Experimental rock LP that represents very well the early years of this band. The album opens with Woman of A Thousand Years witch is a very calm song that for me is one of the weakest of the album, with the song itself still being poetic and strong. Morning Rain sets the tune way ... read more

The Weeknd - Dawn FM
60

I haven't got into the Weeknd, and this the first album i hear from him. It's about a man witch is himself that feels guilty of how he treated people and realises he has to reflect on the past .The album starts by a nice radio like intro called "Dawn FM". Then it jumps into Gasoline that has a cool 80s vibe with a nice voice effect, until the chorus hits with an awesome hook. How Do I Make You Love Me? Is another great song, that feels like a song from the future that would be played ... read more

Rihanna - ANTI
60

Rihanna's latest album ANTI is an awesome R&B record with an incredible variant of different type of songs, with great features. The opener of the album "Consideration" that features SZA, has a killer bassline and beat sample, plus the vocal harmonies are lovely, definitely my favourite from the record. James Joint presents an experimental type 1 minute long song that serves like a great interlude to jump into the next song: "Kiss It Better" witch has a 2010 vibe, the ... read more
