Two Voidz throwaways and one good Strokes song. I remember being really worried when they dropped this. Good thing TNA turned out good.
Essentially a Mac Demarco demo tape. Mac does a weird Elvis impression for the first half which is... interesting. Even though the album is slurred and messy it's still undeniably Mac Demarco. The second half is particularly great. If he'd cut the first half and made it an EP the rating here would be MUCH higher.

This album is grossly underrated. Of course Radiohead fans wouldn't like it relative to the rest of their discography, but if Weezer or Green Day fans gave this a go it would definitely not be a 60. Listen to the hook on "Anyone Can Play Guitar" and tell me it's a 60 smh.

The Black Keys' best record. They both sound dialed in, and there's the perfect amount of fuzz to complement the dusty blues vibe. It still sounds very same-y track to track but that's the Black Keys for you. This is the perfect album to pop in the garage stereo and work on your car.

I had no idea this reviewed so poorly. Yes, some of the hooks are corny and outdated, but if anything this album has aged really well in terms of subject matter over the past decade. If you haven't listened to it since it dropped, give it another shot.

Rodrigo Amarante's voice is so warm it feels like home. Any Strokes fans here for Fab should really check out Amarante's music with Los Hermanos. As for this record, it's pleasant all the way through but fails to make an impression beyond that. Sometimes you just want to listen to happy cozy folk music while you do other things and this is perfect for that.

More of the same bluesy rock from The Black Keys. If you like their other stuff you'll like this. I don't think the record needed to be 15 tracks long.

When I was in high school my friend told me the Black Keys were the saviors of rock n roll, but I thought they were just okay. Many years later and it turns out I was right. The singles are fun but the rest of the album is serviceable if unremarkable blues rock.

This record is at its best when its the most Strokes-y. Any diehard Strokes fans should definitely listen to "In Transit" and "Everyone Gets A Star". Albert ventures into new sounds with "Call An Ambulance" and "Postal Blowfish" but it doesn't really work. The first half is vastly superior to the sleepy second half.

After their first commendable release in a long time, Weezer goes right back to making mid-2000s emo music. If you told me the All-American Rejects made this in 2004 I'd believe you. "The End of the Game" and "Beginning of the End" are decent, the rest of the record is either generic or annoying.
Edit: Bumped from 70 to 75.
Crumb doesn't stray too far from their formula on this one. It's still as dreamy and psychedelic as ever, but I can't help but feel the songs blend together after a while. I still feel like their best work is in those early EPs. If you just want to vibe out though, give this a shot.
