I love this album. It’s like the flower boy for Vince since it’s so personal.
Best break up album of the decade, but what makes this album not a 10/10 is carti’s on earfquake. Listen to it and you’ll see what I mean.
I revisited this record a few days ago and here are my thoughts. I like the edginess that Tyler was aiming for and the on point production on some tracks, but there are also alot of messy tracks that can use a redux from Tyler. Some tracks on the album like B.S.D just felt like some 13yr made it on BandLab with no experience. Overall this album is very mid and we need a remaster NOW!
Cherry Bomb is Tyler's greatest accomplishment I can think of. However, the album is wonky in the beginning part of the record, and while Tyler improved as a producer, his rapping can be messy and a bit off beat. I think this record shows how good he can really be if he tried harder.
This wait has been crazy let’s see what octane has to deliver. So after listening to it I realized that the hype wasn’t worth it since don delivered us a slow lifeless record that doesn’t have any special production and it brings nothing new to the genre. Typical.
I enjoyed the first half of the album, but skies lost the plot halfway.
Kendrick kicks ass once again in a new album. Everything you can think of that makes an album good is implanted in his thing. My only complaint is kodaks verse in silent hill (which is still a great song) feels very dramatic and uninspired for Kodak who has his fair share of fantastic verses.
I love the track anxiety from this album, but the rest of the time Megan feels very boring and plain with her flows. I even think this sophomore album is the y2k of Megan thee stallion.
The Blue Behind Heaven EP by Alabama shoegaze quartet No Culture is an outstanding debut. Blending heavy shoegaze, dream pop, and post-grunge, the record balances soaring ethereal vocals with thick, fuzzy guitar walls. It captures a beautifully heavy, wall-of-sound aesthetic that leaves a lasting impression. My criticism is that they are not introducing anything new to the game.
I feel offended listening to this rushed and disjointed (even more disjointed then dummy boy) crap. Listen if you dare and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Nav stepped it up a bit and I can actually see some creativity. He may have actually hired real producers and writers this time.
All the records I reviewed were ones I listened to about months ago, but I will never forget this record. Nav literally try to give it his all and the execution is a total xanarchy level of bad. It’s worse than his disastrous debut.
Astroworld, easily commands an 8/10. It is a masterful, psychedelic trap experience that plays out like a dark, nostalgic amusement park. Featuring stellar, cinematic production and dynamic beat switches, it remains one of the defining hip-hop albums of its era.
