Really great, it’s almost reminiscent of Arcade Fire. So many amazing songs here, but “Lover’s Spit” has to be my favorite
It had a very promising start, but quickly grew annoying and boring to me. I don't think it displays Thundercat's talents as well as it should.
Pretty underrated for Beach House's discography. I really enjoy how this album has a kind of hazy, dreamy, almost lo-fi sound that their later records can't really replicate.
I've already heard half of these songs without knowing, but this was still a lot better than I expected.
A bit more of a mixed bag compared to Bocanada, but has some of Gustavo Cerati's highest highs.
When I think of metal, I don't think of an album like this. It's a very cold and dark album, and the lyrics reflect that really well. I think the instrumentation here is just amazing, and I love how folk is implemented into the album; it conveys such a great winter atmosphere. I even found myself enjoying some of the vocals here, despite not liking black metal vocals all that much. While I don't think this is an everyday listen, I really loved this one.
I really enjoyed this one, although I think I prefer Leaves Turn Inside You. Lady Elect and For Your Entertainment are just amazing. While I'm not the biggest fan of noise rock, I think it was done well here and this album as a whole makes me more interested in post-hardcore and noise rock.
I surprisingly enjoyed this one a lot, despite thinking I wouldn't due to the vocals. This album is high-energy from start to finish but "New Noise" has to be my favorite song here
Amazing folk rock album. While a lot of the instrumentals are relatively simple and relaxing (which isn't a bad thing), the amazing songwriting helps keep me engaged. "Duk Koo Kim" has to be one of my favorite songs of the 2000s; I always find myself listening to the whole 14 minutes every time it comes on.
It definitely started off better than it ended, but I think it's a really cool mix of trip hop and some subtle shoegaze elements. It's also really great to listen to when I'm studying.
It's a very unique album and most of the songs here are very exciting and energetic. I think it's a great album
While it didn’t make me an instant fan of thrash metal or anything, I definitely think this is a great record and makes me more interested in the metal genre as a whole.
I was a little bored after the first song, but it really picked up from there. Not something I'd really ever listen to casually, but it's really great. Part 3 has to be the best.
