Most of these tracks are just alright and I'd prefer to listen to the original Brat instead, "Club Classics" with BB Trickz, "Talk Talk" with Troye Sivan, and "Guess" with Billie Eilish were cool though.
Boring cash grab with homophobia thrown in. "Butch" in the title with a homophobic interlude is wild this shit gotta be internalized or something.
I enjoyed it but the lyricism is pretty lacking and the production feels empty and doesn't really stand out to me. He has a great voice he just needs to up his pen game a little bit and outsource the production.
I've never been so genuinely caught off guard by an album before. I've been listening through in order and had heard the prior 2 albums of KKB beforehand and while I was confused why it seems Sarah Bonito has a mugshot on the cover of this one, I expected it to retain about the same sound. However, I was entirely wrong with this assumption. The lyrics have more depth than their prior projects and the production seems to tap into a more experimental and interesting realm compared to ... read more
Fantastic album, only complaints I could make are that I find it hard to get behind the beat on "Snappin' & Trappin'" and "I'll Call B4 I Cum" doesn't stand as strongly as a track compared to all the other songs on the album. So many different emotions handled with artistic inspiration and maturity while also just being a great sounding funky album. There's a reason 3Stacks is so highly regarded for his art, him and Big Boi are an insane ... read more
I don't know how it took till "The Forever Story" for people JID to hit the mainstream, this is fantastic.
Very solid track, I feel like Rocky's delivery is a little too laid back though even with it fitting the beat kind of nice.
Ranking this based off the 12 track Spotify version. I expected this album to be much worse but honestly it's solid.
I know a lot of people would completely disagree ranking it this high but most of the songs are honestly fine, there's a few songs I don't like and it is kind of edgy but people ranking it too low.
Very fun throughout, however a lot of the songs really just feel like incomplete fragments only a few songs of the 23 are actually full length. The lyricism isn't anything to write home about except in the features which is fair since it's clearly not his focus. Focusing on the production and bass ability, which is the main takeaway, it's great. The production sounds great on here and Thundercat's vocals do add quite a bit even if they aren't anything crazy. Can't ... read more
It's alright, I was bored for most of the time but some of the tracks were good near the end of the track list. Clearly a precursor to Rodeo in more than just name alone, unfortunately not as interesting as it.
