I started it expecting it to be close to perfect. It was just pretty good. It really is an essential listen however. Honestly, most of the songs had a chance to be a hit but were overshadowed by the big two. Still though, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Come As You Are” and were the best two and none of the rest really stood out past those two. In the end, I would say it’s definitely an all time great, just not one that I would listen to over and over again. Bottom ... read more
Songwriting was outstanding. It’s an amazing expression of loneliness. Relatable lyrics and smooth music take this album to be one of the all time greats.
Second song is just okay but “Born To Run” continues to be one of the best all time.
I was two or three songs in and already knew it was an instant masterpiece. It n my opinion, “Paranoid” is just one of the best songs of all time. Sue me. There was so much great and a little bit of drag but by the time it was over, it was clear why it was so highly rated by users and critics alike.
At the time of listening to this and writing the review, I have not seen the movie. I know Michael had such a rough life and that’s so sad to see from such a talented artist. I believe that this is my highest rated album of the year. I guess no one can really beat perfection. I’ve been a fan of MJ since I was 4 and I can honestly he never gets old but that’s just what happens when your a top 5. I expect this movie to be awesome just like most of these biopics are. “Nothing Was The Same” is probably Drake’s best work. When the beef between him and Kendrick hit I hopped right on to “Team Kendrick” and good thing because all his work has stuck with me. Honestly, I liked this one a lot and it’s definitely worth the time. Most likely, I won’t listen to much more Drake but this album was a great one. Overall, I would say that if you want to get into Drake this would be the album to start with as it displays everything ... read more
Like I said in my “Minecraft - Volume Beta” review, the game truly made the game what it was and this soundtrack really brings you back to the good old days.
The music to this game was just so iconic and incredible. It really took your journey to the next level. The music truly made it feel like a cinematic masterpiece instead of just a game. There’s a reason it has a 92 user rating.
The opening song was beautiful. The rest was pretty good.Honestly, I wasn’t paying the closest attention but I liked most of what I heard. Still though, Bruce is a goat for real.
Mark Wahlberg btw. But seriously though, this is a banger.
With this song, I’ve finished Shaboozey’s entire discography which was pretty lame up until 2022. Like I’ve said before, country trap is usually awful but he brings so much good to that genre. His old music is pretty ass and his cowboys era is honestly pretty fun. Overall, I’d say he’s just an okay artist but still one I love very much.
Everything up until his second album is a hit or miss (mostly misses). I decided to listen to his whole discography which has been mid mainly because of his early work. This one’s pretty fun but stupid at the same time.
Old Shaboozey is just whatever. This was his first song and he clearly doesn’t know his flow. I liked the beat but the final product was nothing special.
As the song did suggest; this album is “Not For Me”. The album was forgettable, inconsistent, and had no flow. He was clearly just starting out and trying to get recognized. Shaboozey does deliver in the future though and I did review all those if you are interested in reading those. Ultimately on this album I would just say it’s a meh.
