A controversial pick I know, but Lullabies to Paralyze is the best album QOTSA have ever produced. No other album they have created has had a flow so magical as this. Each track is followed by banger after banger with a eclectic mix of soft acoustic tracks and hardcore rock masterpieces. Harsh, abrasive, tenacious, the pinnacle of stoner rock. Dave Grohl is the standout performer on this record and pulls off some of the most impressively casacading and speedy drumming of all time which drives the album forward at a tremendously fast pace. Having grown up listening to this album, it'll always have a place in my heart as a nostalgic throwback to car rides to go get shopping with my dad and headbanging the whole way there. Like Clockwork is the most emotionally present album in the bands collection, ditching some of the harsh guitars and mixing for a more clean, piano driven atmospheric sound with the same old classic QOTSA sound spliced inbetween. It's certainly a refreshing take on the bands style and it think it suits them down to the ground.
