WTF????
I’ve always been a fan of Joey Valence & Brae because I loved there boom bap beastie boys style music. Their last album “NO HANDS” became one of my favorites of last years, new cause all of the songs were straight bangers, and it’s just sounded like they were having fun and I loved that. But what they’ve done here is something quite different. It sounds more matured and sophisticated while still having that banger vibe. But holy shit, this has ... read more
A maximalist collage of guitars, voices, effects, and noises that might be the first endeavor into the shoegaze genre. Most albums that tamper with noise like this, tend to sound loud and harsh, but this album manages to take that sound and reconfigure it into sound dreamy and mystical in a way. It’s almost as if it’s a blur, where you doing really see it all but you’re still in the middle of it, so you can make some elements out. This album sounds like the most exaggerated ... read more
Denzel Curry has always been that rapper that will just always be good to me. He’s honestly one of the most, if not, the most consistent rapper of our generation. I thought mme&syf was a fantastic album, but this extended version with the cold blooded version is honestly just perfect to me. Now this is 100 is mostly directly towards the cold blooded versions of the songs and not just the standalone album but still, I’ll say the album is still fantastic. This is smooth, clean, ... read more

I remember seeing people talk about this album in some random discord server I was once in. I decided to check it out despite not knowing a single thing about it and since then this album has just got better and better each time I listen to it. This is not a perfect album but to me, this is just amazing. A big reason to why I like this album so much is because it has been one of the biggest inspirations for my own music, and without it, I honestly ... read more
Sounds like if the people who made the music at Nintendo all did steroids.
Fuck… it’s a 10
I really didn’t want to give both “Ants From Up There” and “For The First Time” but after countless re-listens, I’ve come to the realization that I really fucking love this band. These young people have done something so magical and special to me and many others to the point where I’m just in complete awe at the sheer act of talent they display. From the gnarly instrumentation to the witty and profound vocals, this six-song ... read more
Sounds chaotic and joyous on the outside but is a little saddening and deep when cut down to its core.
Kero Kero Bonito will always be a special moment on my life. I remember hearing their first album for the first time since someone recommended it to me. It sounded cute and friendly. It was very easy to listen to. The thing with “Time ‘n’ Place” tho… it’s very different while also still being the same. From the first song, you can instantly realize this is ... read more
a mystical and almost alien description of love.
Vespertine has always been an album I keep returning to. Bjork’s voice over these otherworldly soundscapes and microbeats gives this album such a unique feeling that I can’t quite get from any other album that ever tried to replicate this sound. Everything on this album, from the instrumentation to the writing is divine. Bjork is a visionary and this just goes to show the kind of imagery and atmosphere you can create when ... read more
Explosive in every way
Since his 2023 album, McKinley Dixon has been on my radar for quite a while now. So when I heard that he was dropping an album this year, I was very excited. The moment I heard that first single, I was blown away, it only made me more eager for this album. So now that it is out, is it what I wanted? Definitely.
The instrumentation on this album is fantastic. The drums are so clean and banging, the bass is basically the force behind the whole album, without it, ... read more
This is one of the calmest and soothing records I have ever heard.
Getz/Gilberto sees two of the best boss nova artists join together to create a perfect palette of relaxing, beautiful, and heart-warming songs that feel like a hug in a moment of distress. The vocals are so pretty, he has a great voice that lays perfectly of the chill instrumentals. Sang in Portuguese, this type of music can be enjoyed by anyone without the problem of a language barrier. I absolutely don’t think anyone ... read more
This album is all about contrast. When something is happening, the opposite is also happening. It’s creates a perfect outline for the listener to rest in.
Dots And Loops by Stereolab is easily one of my favorite albums of all time. Anytime I hear a song from it, I just want to hear the whole record again. From the pristine, magical, and pretty instrumentals to the calming and relaxing vocals, this album does everything it wants to do perfectly. If you want to have a good time, this is ... read more
Honestly this rating might go up higher after a few more listens.
Now, I have never heard of John Michel or Anthony James and it seems like most of the people reviewing this album haven’t either. But this caught my attention because you don’t really see any unknown names get ratings this high from seemingly their debut. Basically all I’m saying is, this caught my attention, I listened to it and I am honestly a bit blown away.
The rapping is great. I mean it really has that ... read more
what is this lol. I’ve know about heymylan for a while now because of his tiktoks about his beats. The beats on this album are interesting to say the least. There’s some songs on her that I think are genuinely really good such as “up a 60 ball” and “airbnb freestyle” but they are thrown in with some genuinely atrocious songs like “what is this” and “grave on”. Even with that, I really don’t give a fuck, I think that the good ... read more
Almost every single beat on this album sounds like it was made on accident but it went hard so he just went with it. I feel like I should think this album is bad, but I lowkey fw most of the songs on here. I mean yeah, there’s some songs that are honestly really bad like “trans friends” and “catch and smoke” (this song sounds like the first song you would make after you download fl studio), but there are some genuine bangers on here like “bubblegum” and ... read more
I just can’t get enough.
GREY Area is one of those albums that I didn’t think I was gonna like THIS MUCH only after listening to it about 40 times now. This album is just so dirty man. This album manages to go hard but also manages to keep that almost clean mainstream sound on it and I think that’s why I like it so much.
From the first two songs the production is straight up just NASTY. Banging drums and the ever so growling bass on both songs makes it such a menacing way ... read more
After millions of fans calling her “queen”, she finally becomes one, and sticks to making absolute bangers.
“Fancy That” is a short 20 minute mixtape, that doesn’t waste any of its time doing something underwhelming (Intermission doesn’t count). From the first song to the last, it’s exquisite with its fun lyrics and banging beats. This is a simple album, mostly sticking to interesting choruses, and just addictive melodies. Sometimes that’s all you ... read more
