Might Delete Later is half-baked, less than half really. J. Cole has always been a bit of a silly writer but there are so many awful bars among all of these songs that he self sabotages his whole track list, I seriously wouldn't say there is a single highlight song from this tape.
The moments that are tolerable like Huntin' Wabbitz and Pi are still a bit middle-brow because of their passable beats and catchy nature. By far the two worst songs come back to back which are H.Y.B. and Fever. ... read more
I really hate to disappoint the person who recommended me this but ovine hall's self titled EP isn't for me.
From a design perspective all of the singing is manipulated to a disturbing length where it doesn't sound harmonic but rather whiney. I admire the creativity of the topics like hit the function like larry david which made me chuckle since I've been watching a lot of Curb Your Enthusiasm lately. The lyrics and the production on the project come toe to toe and are constantly battling it ... read more
I don't hate Miley's hook but nothing beats the original. She really wasn't the right person to handle this kind of a task.
Tyla’s self titled debut LP is a journey into the tropical soundscape of Afrobeat. It’s got great instrumentals that ooze with potential but are fronted by a singer who can’t write a captivating chorus to save her life. Across the album Tyla makes many attempts at genre blending which she must take enormous inspiration from someone like Amaarae, there are ideas president but they aren’t as good as they could be like No.1 with Tems who carries the song to the finish. ... read more
This is the first ever 0 I have ever given because up until now I had always thought that all music has redeemable qualities, Love Bites insults my outdated philosophy and becomes my bottom line of what the worst kind of music is. Mugshot is on par with Earth by Lil Dicky for genuinely being the biggest waste of time in my life. My understanding was that it would be hard to make an EP "bad" in my eyes because of how forgiving the listen time is, but it turns out that with the right ... read more
There are so many people who make better Soul injected Pop than this that it is a no-brainer to me who I would rather listen to.
ZAYN is someone I have always despised a little bit but it didn't get in the way of me actually kind of enjoying parts of this LP. The start of this album is a bit of a let down with DREAMIN and WHAT I AM just being ok when it comes to communicating rich emotion in a love song but GRATEFUL turns a positive cheek and has a genuinely believable chorus. There is a ... read more
My Level 50 Private School Aura Prince this is not you bro what happened.
I've been following ian on TikTok for about half a year because his old music intrigued me and I think he's an interesting figure because of his specific line of Trap that has gained such a large audience. I wasn't a fan of Grand Slam then and I still am not now but when he teased Never Stop I found myself enjoying it because of the unconventional flow and the really solid chorus. There is a level of melodramatic hype ... read more
Mach drops another classic in his catalogue and raps more about his Haitian-American experience over some Jazz instrumentals.
#RICHAXXHAITIAN demonstrates how godly this man is at crafting hooks. Mach tends to sing a lot more on this release which is such a breath of fresh air for us fans because he hasn't been doing that as of late, shout outs to SAME 24 and THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW because these songs hone his vocals the best. This album is POLLUTED with features, this isn't a problem ... read more
Luh calm songs.
Cool loops with good demonstration of rapping on top but not the most interesting stuff we’ve ever seen from Wilbert. Not a lot more to it than that, this release is an experiment if you ask me.
The 59 year old Portishead front-woman Beth Gibbons can still sing beautifully even without a Trip-Hop beat.
Lives Outgrown is a mature concept album, it’s full of ballads that will make you question your life. I am captivated by this release because of the way Beth describes her love and the magnitude of it. There is a rich quality to this album in the emotional maturity and understanding that Gibbons has, her poetry is so precariously written and a joy to listen to.
That can also be ... read more

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT is Billie Eilish’s most lovey-dovey work to date, as a fan I’m really happy for her she sounds happy and healthy in this new relationship. Her talents haven’t aged a day and she’s still delivering us soft and potent singing, Billie rarely showcases her upper register this time and stays in her comfort zone giving us that mature whispering voice we’ve loved for years.
FINNEAS compliments ... read more

I love the humor littered on this album it speaks to an immature part of me.
Almighty So 2 is well overdue. Dude was teasing this thing back in early 2022, WHAT HAPPENED?! Truthfully I think its pretty good, the first three and last three songs had pretty bad beats and some of Sosa's laziest writing to date. This gives the album a big looming problem because it will deter people from starting and or finishing the album.
Overall the features list was okay, Sosa carried most of the time but Ballout and G Herbo were almost as bad as Keef on Neph Nem where the two did not ... read more
I can’t believe yeule has an onlyfans lmao.
A little directionless to be honest, I don’t think remixing this song made it better. I like the sharp reverberated piano keys and singing from the amazing guest but this song feels completely different to the original.
The start of this song sounded like that one radio song from portal and I thought it was gonna be banging but it ended up not (to whose surprise). I hate this song it’s so irritating, everything with Meghan Trainor always has to be so grand with a big marching band and a massive cathedral soundscape but her music doesn’t deserve it. The hook isn’t even catchy and T-Pain has such a trash verse that’s gross instead of playful, when their voices harmonise it’s 10x ... read more
twikipedia captured lightning in a bottle with this one. This is one of the most self-celebratory emo albums of 2024, there’s so much charm in the Alex G influenced singing and the raw emotion pouring out of the lyrics. I have had so much fun with this, delta is an incredible musician. The album projects colourful melodies with satisfying resolutions especially on figure me out or windchimes.
So much of the charm for me was the pure acoustics and sonics generated by everything because of ... read more
BLOODY ANGEL is in touch with its abrasive roots but sacrifices some of its coarse texturing which is why this is my least favourite Sematary album I think. Part of why Sematary is so novelty is because his caustic-packed sound, he fills his songs to the brim with noises that will blow your brains out and this is the most tame example of that.
It’s still corrosive to your ears but is more lacklustre when side by side his previous efforts. There are some underperformed tracks that ... read more
Emily Montes didn’t die for this ๐ญ
These posthumous releases getting out of hand. Also the Charli XCX type beat hard asf tho.
DIRTY NACHOS makes me about as happy as I would be eating dirty nachos. It's a mixtape through and through, there's an obscene lack of polish and little attention to sonics, Mike really slept here and it brought Sosa down a peg with him.
Truthfully there aren't many songs here that are very good I just find certain segments of the tunes a bit interesting, sadly that can't be said about this project. DOJA has an obnoxiously loud 808 kick drum which suicides the song and GIL WOO has the worlds ... read more
