A bit too calm for my liking, but still a great album that occasionally gets heavy af.
I find this an underrated album. It's not as good as their first four albums, but provides several great songs.
It's odd for a metal band to peak 10+ years into their career. And Dope did it as they release their best album.
I used to dislike this album. Now I quite like it. It's far from their best album but it's better than most music.
Yeah. It starts off pretty good, but most the tracks after Sleepwalker are pretty forgettable. Not necessarily bad, but it's just okay.
Deftones branches out into progressive metal. It's not TOOL-level, but it's not bad at all.
Waylon's good but he's not even close to Jason. It's still a good album.
Lots of the songs on this album sound very similar, but they sound great so that's a good thing in my books.
SOAD managed to pump out two very good albums in one year. One of the best things about it is that it's more experimental, and has a different feel to it than Mezmerize - making it not seem like a Mezmerize Vol 2.
It's not quite as good, either, but we don't need to pay attention to that.
This is Disturbed's step away from nu metal, and more into a traditional alternative metal style with plenty of guitar solos. Personally I prefer The Sickness, but this is a much more intellectually complex album.
The songs on this album are either pretty good or so terrible that they're kinda good. So it's a good album, but it's laughable as hell.
I wish they kept this style of chunky riffs but instead they turned to rap rock in the next couple albums :(
