Deftones - Diamond Eyes
89

A bit too calm for my liking, but still a great album that occasionally gets heavy af.

Megadeth - Endgame
57

Pretty forgettable but not terrible.

Static-X - Cult of Static
85

I find this an underrated album. It's not as good as their first four albums, but provides several great songs.

Dope - No Regrets
93

It's odd for a metal band to peak 10+ years into their career. And Dope did it as they release their best album.

Metallica - Death Magnetic
70

Thrashy, but somewhat forgettable aside from a couple songs.

Slipknot - All Hope Is Gone
96

A fourth almost perfect album by Slipknot with many metal classics.

Disturbed - Indestructible
96

Filled with amazing songs with very little filler.

Korn - [untitled]
82

I used to dislike this album. Now I quite like it. It's far from their best album but it's better than most music.

Megadeth - United Abominations
63

Yeah. It starts off pretty good, but most the tracks after Sleepwalker are pretty forgettable. Not necessarily bad, but it's just okay.

Static-X - Cannibal
75

Static-X at their most brutal. In fact it feels like they focused too much on making heavy music and forgot that it needed to sound good too. There are a couple of pretty good songs, but it's easily the worst of the classic 1999-2009 era.

88

Deftones branches out into progressive metal. It's not TOOL-level, but it's not bad at all.

Mushroomhead - Savior Sorrow
88

Waylon's good but he's not even close to Jason. It's still a good album.

Korn - See You on the Other Side
93

Lots of the songs on this album sound very similar, but they sound great so that's a good thing in my books.

System of a Down - Hypnotize
89

SOAD managed to pump out two very good albums in one year. One of the best things about it is that it's more experimental, and has a different feel to it than Mezmerize - making it not seem like a Mezmerize Vol 2.

It's not quite as good, either, but we don't need to pay attention to that.

Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
97

This is Disturbed's step away from nu metal, and more into a traditional alternative metal style with plenty of guitar solos. Personally I prefer The Sickness, but this is a much more intellectually complex album.

Dope - American Apathy
88

The songs on this album are either pretty good or so terrible that they're kinda good. So it's a good album, but it's laughable as hell.

Static-X - Start a War
89

It seems like a harsher, darker sequel to Shadow Zone. It's pretty good.

System of a Down - Mezmerize
96

Honestly gives Toxicity a run for it's money. Amazing album.

Limp Bizkit - The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1)
89

I wish they kept this style of chunky riffs but instead they turned to rap rock in the next couple albums :(
