Hello, Clancy.
I gave this album an 88 after an initial listen. That's criminal. These songs are incredible, just like nearly all of this duo's work, and it's much more than an 88. The lyrics are as dynamic as ever, playing with words like blocks, the instrumentation and effects on the vocals are bolder than I've seen them before, and the vibe of the album is fast paced and aggressive. Astounding work.

It's really weird looking at my 7th grade yearbook and seeing the face of a music artist I really respect. It's even WEIRDER going to my best friend's house and seeing a music artist I really respect at the DINNER TABLE.
Edit:
This is my second favorite hip-hop album of all time. Every song on here I consider to be perfect except for u & me, but I don't think about that one. Yeah, I've met the guy who made it, he's my best friend's brother, but I ... read more
Twenty One Pilots pulls a masterclass of quirky, intriguing, and electronically stunning work from their sleeve in their latest release, "Breach". Breach is by far the most tonally diverse album I've listened to from them yet, a mix of softer, even rap-less songs like "Intentions" with high energy screamers like "Drum Show". The ambition that this project emits out of its very soul is apparent to even the least educated of listeners, experimenting with sounds ... read more

Driving at breakneck speeds and never crashing, Vessel is really powerful, but definitely part of Twenty One Pilot's early set of music. Screen and Holding On to You are the best on here.

You're trying to replace yourself.
What is a "self"? What is "You"? What does it mean to have an identity? These are all questions exposed in Will Wood and the Tapeworms' second and final studio album, SELF-iSH. An 8 song concept album, SELF-iSH has a cohesive story, bookended by a duo of songs that spell out the album's title: "Self-" and "-ish". The former asking what a self is, what time does to it, and about change, and a pledge for a ... read more
They leaped up the stairs from their previous release and gave us their first truly good album, minus one or maybe two stinkers. Bookended by phenomenal pieces of music and filled with good but not perfect tracks, I love it and I hate it. Dear Winter is beautiful.

Eccentrically, diabolically devilish, and a treat to listen to; a song of anger and violence tied up in a joyful, jolly bow.
I like this one. It's a little simple, but it's catchy, upbeat, and just a good time. The live work here is simply incredible, it sounds like a studio release had applause at the end. It's by no means their best, but it's great for what it is.
Hey there. I wrote a review for this album back when I sucked at writing reviews. I'm back to talk about this album. It's pretty good. There is some unimaginable ass on this shit. There is also some really fun and inventive indie rock/pop. Creative lyricism and a good paving of the road for other similar artists. Tally Hall is an incredibly influential group on the niche music scene and this album started it all. It also gives me my second nickel for a debut album in the mid to late ... read more
The songs on this one are largely unremarkable, bland, and written with a cliché or uninteresting subject matter. Some of the sound is intriguing, some of the musical work is good, but it's largely a plate of white bread, designed to wiggle into the easily digestible train of generic pop. A big step down from most of JTG's work, and rather shocking that they wrote it at all. "The Machine" and "Everybody Panic" were the only two songs here that really felt ... read more
One of my favorite game soundtracks of all time, and for good reason. Fenn's instrument picks fit the situations, locations, and the characters they coincide with perfectly, and some of the best musical uses in gaming are seen from this soundtrack. "The Grey Crow" in particular is my favorite video game boss theme ever made. There's so much to unpack here, and I might come back later to update this with a full run-through of the genius of each track - but for now, it's ... read more
If a musical contains more than one song that is literally the face of the theater kid community, you know it's doing something right. Lin takes American history and puts a spin on it, admittedly telling a story that isn't exactly the same as what it's inspired by, but it doesn't have to be. Lin's vocals, while scratchy at times, are charming, no matter what you say otherwise. The writing is quick, fast paced, and wonderful, with moments of hilarity and moments of ... read more
I'm sorry, I just don't really like this one.
They're trying too hard to be inspirational, and it kind of bugs me, to be honest
Bipolar as hell. Some songs are generic and others are genius. A La La is my favorite Jukebox the Ghost song by a large margin, and one of my favorite songs of all time, yet others on here feel generic and not even a member of this band's discography. Overall it's good, but it's odd.
