There’s nothing much to say about this record. Not many words or thoughts spring to mind as it goes from track to track. You can do nothing but assume the role of distant observer. And feel every bit of sorrow that I’m sure Phil had to be overwhelmed by.

Simply put, their best album. Groundbreaking use of sampling. Never gives you a moment to breathe, but at the same time kisses you gently with such awe-inspiring moments of beauty that come and go before you even notice they’re happening. Ride’s best, most personal, abstract, and addictive lyricism of any DG project are all over this thing, front to back.
Oh, and Björk is all over it, cause why the fuck not.
