This album was produced by Haruomi Hosono of Yellow Magic Orchestra fame and it just shows how prolific he is composing such complex, well-structured synth sounds and playful harmonies, ultimately complimenting Miharu Koshi's child-like vocals. This is a very good sounding synth-oriented pop that is progressive in its overall production. Title track is such a banger.
Anna Meredith’s second album is filled with utopias within an utopian macrosm, her maximalist approach to electronic and acoustic instrumentation yet pushed to a different sonic territory unlike before. This is avant-garde at its most playful and creative that feels fresh and right now.
I listened to it and it sounds too preachy and it sounded like it was recorded in a mall bathroom with an Iphone. I'd rather hear the construction noise of a construction site at 7 in the morning rather than hearing this one.
