i like it when the band i like makes a good song it makes me happy 😃
You know what you’re getting with an Action Bronson album, and his stuff just clicks for me. His charisma is outstanding and his beat selection is great as always.
i mean it’s nothing special of course i just find it kinda funny that he chose to make a song about hunter biden’s laptop with the lead singer of two door cinema club and also the racist one out of mumford & sons
Nothing to see here. Just the most hokey, contrived faux-girlpower trite with a flat instrumental that totally lacks the fun or even the edge of the early-10s electropop/ ‘recession pop’ it’s clearly desperate to recapture. Pining to be nostalgic yet so boringly modern…
…and it’s produced by Dr. Luke, so it’s fuck this song even if it turned out to be good in the first place.
Not great. Young Franco’s current sound has started to get repetitive, CHAII brings the energy of a Jungle background singer and Tones And I is… well, Tones And I.
One of the most electrifying, cocky and downright infectious Killers songs in recent memory… but I think I prefer the Jaqcues Le Cont remix a little more.
It’s kind of like a mix of the old Bloc Party track Ratchet and Von Dutch by Charli XCX… except Kele’s vocals don’t have anything approaching the energy or punch needed to pull it off.
slowly coming to the conclusion that I don’t really love this song as much as I thought I would
For once it isn’t Central Cee that makes me not enjoy a Central Cee song. He’s got the right energy here, sadly the same cannot be said for Lil Baby.
Yes, Guetta’s fingerprints are all over this shit but let us not forget the original bright idea to sample Like A G6 was from Billen Ted (who, while we’re here, also had a hand in Psycho by Anne-Marie). If anything I think I prefer the Guetta version a little more.
…it’s not even a good name, “Billen Ted”. Neither of the band members are even called Bill or Ted. Would Tommen Sam not have had the same ring to it?
Home Counties have the pointed, sardonic lyrics of their postpunk revival contemporaries going on- and yet by combining this currently very well-treaded path with old-school indietronica and dance-punk sounds they conjure up a much more flavourful and groovy experience than some of their peers. Imagine !!! meets Yard Act!
A decent change of pace for a band that needed it. Getting some Jungle vibes, especially in the production.
nooooo fred again please don’t make a good song i’ve made a commitment to not liking you noooooo
It’s amazing how like half of AJR’s problems are solved by just toning down the production…
