You've gotta respect Royal Blood on their self titled debut for their unwavering commitment to not having any new ideas at all. Seriously, you could make a pretty good case for this album being a more polished ripoff of pretty much every popular rock band of the decade that preceded its release.

Not kidding when I say this is probably one of the best pop songs of the 21st century.
A nice new one from PTM. Feels like the closest to their roots as a full-on rock band in a long time.
I listened to this of my own volition, having not even known it was popular in any other capacity. Maybe that's why I like it.
A solid albeit occasionally unpolished and certainly of-its-time electronic release that bridges the gap between Datarock and Justice and has fun on the way. Also just so happens to hold one of the greatest songs of the 2000s within it- Pogo, of course, the ultimate electronic party tune. Also worth listening for I Want I Want and Idealistic, which are both hard-hitting fusions of new rave and electro house and among the better stuff the album has on offer.
You could tell When We All Fall Asleep was a revolutionary hit because immediately after every label started trying to find the next Billie Eilish and nothing they threw at the wall came close to the original. Dark pop music at its absolute finest and most innovative. It’s so good that it kind of dwarfs most of the stuff Billie has come out with since (and that’s not a knock against Billie because she’s made plenty of great songs since this)
