The instrumental and the production here sounds alright, but I can't stand Andrew Stockdale's vocals.
I have come to realise that I will probably be the only reviewer on this site to review this album.
I am not a particularly big Wolfmother fan, their first album wasn't bad, however after the release of their last album "Rock 'n Roll Baby" I was genuienly curious about this one.
Well this is just not good. It's not as utterly abysmal as their last album but damn if it's just not good.
This album sounds like a rehash of generic Led Zeppelin and AC/DC tracks. The song Upload ... read more
Yeah I'm just not as in love with this as I wished I would be.
This album honestly strats out pretty well, the first three songs are very catchy bangers, but god damn the longer this album goes on for the more stale it gets.
Look, if you're a HUGE and I mean REALLY REALLY huge fan of KYUSS then you might enjoy this, but I just prefer QOTSA's more fleshed out material to this. The approach they take on this album is very skeletal and one-note. All of the songs have the same repeated riffs ... read more
Coldplay is a band that, like many other bands that have stuck around for quite a while has kind of gone to shit. One of those bands that only has its early days to look back on because god damn the future really ain't looking bright.
Atleast Coldplay fans have albums like this to look back on.
Parachutes isn't a particularly complex album, however the type of simplicity Coldplay achieve on this album is an admirable one. This album feels like it goes for a different atmosphere than some of ... read more
I have no idea why, but out of everything I've heard Coldplay do, this is probably my favourite song they've made.
There's something blissfully simple and wonderfully pleasant about this song and it just resonates with me in a way that majority of their other work simply doesn't
YOOOOOO FINALLY NEW BLOC PARTY!
This is actually kind of catchy! The guitarwork feels lively and Kele sounds pretty decent.
I am not sure about the lyrics and some part of the melody does feel a bit stiff, however as a fan of the stuff they were doing on FOUR i think that this isn't that bad.
I love that they are going in this direction and hope that we get better songs than this. Overall it's decent and I enjoyed it I just think that they need to explore this new-old soiund of theirs a ... read more
I may come off as a grumpy old man saying this but I fucking hate this corny ass song
It's like good parts of Twenty One Pilots mixed with AJR but if they were more talented and not nearly as annoying
It's been a while since I have reviewed an album. Mostly due to me being kind of busy with different stuff and kind of losing the motivation in listening to albums.
Y'know I could've listened to something different, I could've maybe finally listened to one of the first three Radiohead albums, maybe one of the first two Coldplay albums, maybe the third Interpol album or y'know... Something that isn't Limp Bizkit.
Yet here I am. And guess what I'm probably gonna listen to that new Limp Bizkit ... read more
Honestly it just sounds like some bland derivative shit you'd hear on the trilogy. It's listenable, but leaves no impression on me.
RUMBLE, THEY GON TAKE YO FACE OFF
IT'S ABOUT DRIVE, IT'S ABOUT POWER WE STAY HUNGRY WE DEVOUR, PUT IN THE WORKS PUT IN THE HOURS AND TAKE WHAT'S OURS.
The rest of the song? Wait there's more?
This guy's lyrics sound like he never left the average early 2000s era high school.
I guess it sounds better than some of the shit on tickets to my downfall but god is it as cringy as ever.
Kudos to the producer i guess since the guitars didn't sound too bad
It's beautiful. I've listened to it like 3 times in a row now and I am somehow still not sick of it. The energy in the vocal performance is absolutely amazing and it just envokes something special in me.
It's good.
Ok but like why does "Da Outside" actually completely unironically sound good?
