Antics is the follow up album to the masterpiece that is Turn On The Bright Lights, which is at the moment probably my favourite album of all time. That album was carried by an amazing atmosphere which was as cold, distant and fuzzy as it was warm and intimate. The songs on that album had an incredibly vast feeling. The soundscape was huge on their debut, it never felt like there was an empty moment in the instrumentation, even in the simpler tracks such as "Untitled" or "Hands ... read more
Hoooooly shit. This one is a massive step down from their previous efforts.
Let's start this review off by talking about the only thing limp bizkit had going for them- great guitarwork by Wes Borland. Now imagine taking that away from the band and this is what you get.
Results May Vary is either incredibly stupid, incredibly boring, or somehow both at the same time. Words can not describe the level of boredom I felt with some of the tracks on here.
On their older albums atleast there were ... read more
It's a good song it's just that i seriously don't care about it after hearing it the 500th time. Something about it just didn't stick with me in a way that earlier Green Day songs did.
Basically it's a good song but it's overplayed and now I just don't care.
I guess this is a single now.
It's one of the better tracks on 'Typhoons' tbh. That album isn't even bad in my opinion I just wish that it had more variety to make it actually work as an album.
Just stick with this and the other singles and put it on your Gym playlist or whatever. This track's decent.
Pretty much the same as their last album, except this time around Fred Durst is a lot more annoying. This is compensated by songs not being nearly as boring as some on the last album. Still not a good album though.
The writing is way worse in this one, but then there's the guitarwork which is just fucking amazing. Seriously that opening riff to the song "Hot Dog" is fucking amazing. Now if only Fred Durst knew how to sing or write...
Best songs: "Take A Look Around", ... read more
Happy Birthday Significant Other!
To celebrate this album's anniversary I listened to my friend's advice and listened to this album. I have also decided to listen to other Limp Bizkit albums as well since I kinda feel like killing myself lately so instead of doing it I am going ttlisten to something that makes me feel like I'm doing it.
I don't completely hate this album. There are some tracks on it I'd say aren't that bad. "Nookie" and "Break Stuff" for instance weren't ... read more
It's the same boring generic ahit Adam Levine has been doing for the past decade. I swear I've heard the same shitty songs being done way better by this very same band. Genuienly pathetic. This album is peak lazyness
Best songs: what's that?
Worst songs: Memories (Remix) (YOU PUT THE SAME SONG ON THIS ALBUM TWICE IN A ROW WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY)
It's not quite as bad as Fantano said it is
IT'S FUCKING WORSE!
Holy Jesus Christ on a bicycle this is actually genuienly horrendous. I could not tolerate a single song on here for more than 30 seconds.
This album is basically a blend of pop rock and metal. If that sounds like a horrible idea on paper it's way worse than anything you imagine it would sound like. The gimmick is to basically switch between the most whiny emo vocals accompanied by some basic guitar and then to suddenly just go ... read more
I don't have anything to add to the discussion tbh. I agree with everything that's being said about this album. It's stupid, laughably bad, Chris Brown can't sing, the heavier tracks on here are extremely flaccid.
I heard people compare these guys to Nickelback and after hearing "Headstrong" I didn't quite see it. I expected this whole album to sound like "Headstrong" but there are actually a few slower songs on here that are just laughably bad. I guess I shouldn't call ... read more
BORING BORING MEH SNOOZEFEST AND IT'S BORING AND IT SOUNDS LIKE GENERIC POP ROCK AND IT'S BORING AND I SLEEP
Really catchy even if the second half is a bit repetitive and kinda annoying. Decent track.
Well 30 followers... I guess I'm slowly going places.
I tried listening to this album fully for a while now but I never managed to do it until today, so I figured I may as well write a review for it right now while I am taking a shit, since that's basically kinda what this album is.
Look, I am always going to be a defender of Royal Blood's debut for being quite a fun album despite it not being all that original and I thought that Typhoons was okay but it was, again, kinda unoriginal and kinda ... read more
