Enjoyably weird album that feels at times like something mccartney would have written.
You bet Paul Simon’s still got it, was seriously SERIOUSLY surprised by this album. 2nd only to Graceland.
This shit sucks but I find myself really really liking it in parts. How embarrassing.
The cover of Simon Smith and His Dancing Bear on here is one of my favourite ever songs.
I think Holly and an orchestra are a match made in heaven. I’ve always loved the track true love ways and although it’s weird to hear some older material messed around with in a freaky way I kinda like the end product. Don’t know whether the man himself would have approved but I do
This is why I don’t usually stray too far on the prog spectrum. I don’t understand the kinds of people who really enjoy this. Do they just have an insatiable appetite for ever-dramatic, upwards looking, awe-pining, key-shifting busyness? Where’s it going? Is it still the same song? They don’t care. Its disgusting. They’ve gotten drunk on being too good at their instruments.
Yeah I mean the title states explicitly what this is, can’t argue with that.
Some really good moments but honestly if half the tracks weren’t there I wouldn’t be that upset.
Pigs (three different ones) is in the running for best title for a Pink Floyd song but I don’t care for the album that much. Maybe I’m uncultured but I just don’t feel it at all and can barely appreciate it from a distance.
Ok this is pretty controversial, but I think this is a highly overrated album.
