Porches - Pool
66

Porhces said "hey let's try and make a Caribou album." It's fine

Pinegrove - Cardinal
89

simple, but enjoyable album

Animal Collective - Painting With
70

some fun and creative tracks here but overall nothing special

63

Just not very great. Kanye was due for somewhat of a dud. Love ultralight beam though

DIIV - Is the Is Are
67

Just as reverby as the last, just a little longer. This album is decent, but nothing more

Majical Cloudz - Impersonator

Hadn't heard this album until their most recent release are you alone came out. I thought it was ok. Went back and listened to this one though and my goodness is it beautiful. Absolutely chillingly captivating.

EDIT: I love this album more and more every time I listen. Becoming one of my favorites of the decade

Martin Courtney - Many Moons

If you enjoy real estate, you'll enjoy this

Beach House - Thank Your Lucky Stars
72

the best beach house album of the year!

Phil Cook - Southland Mission
86

An absolute hidden gem of a southern rock album. Why is no one reviewing this?

Florence + the Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
63

More and more of the same from her, which made for an unremarkable, watered down album

Jamie xx - In Colour
75

For someone who doesn't listen to too much electronic music, I found this album fun and enjoyable. Favorites are obvs and good times

Holly Miranda - Holly Miranda
82

A very solid album in which you can hear the influences of a variety of different artists, including lady lamb, cults, and Haim. The arrangements are at times upbeat and fun and at other times mellow and beautiful. Favorites include Mark My Words, All I Want to be is Your Girl, and Until Now.

The Tallest Man on Earth - Dark Bird Is Home
64

With comparison to his earlier albums, this album appears over produced and lacking the passion and edge that he became so well known for

Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell
83

A beautiful album with somber, haunting lyrics

Best Coast - California Nights
70

A much stronger effort than The Only Place. This album seems purposeful and with catchy tunes that make you long for an summer evening at the beach in the same way their first album made you long for a day at the beach. The tracks speak of more serious matters, showing the band's maturity.

Colleen Green - I Want to Grow Up
92

An album whose lyrics seem almost too simplistic to have substance actually carry a lot of weight. A young girl faces the struggles of maturing in the millennial generation with surrounding distractions to which the youth often succumb, including drugs and technology. Highlights are TV, deeper than love, and things that are bad for me pt. 1
