This sounds like something that has a lot of good things going for it. I personally don't enjoy this kind of record as much as I would like to, but I can hear that there is quality in here. Sun In is an amazing closing track though.
The timing wasn't right for Skrillex to release this. This isn't the best thing in the world, but put this out a day after Quest For Fire is a gutsy (and stupid) move. People heard a very good album one day and a mid one the next day. Did he really think he was getting away with this without getting blasted? There are some very good songs on the first half of the record
I really debated giving this a higher score but then I remembered that this record isn't actually good. And then the Chris Stapleton gave me what I needed to shit on this.
This is truly a bad album. I was never a P!nk fan in the first place, but I will say that we've heard that voice way too much in the past 15 years. It's radio-friendly and mommy-catching which made it a prime candidate for radio stations to blast on every occasion. That chirping noise created some kind of PTSD, and anything ... read more
I could see how one might enjoy this record very much. There's interesting production throughout the record and Kelela's voice is angelic. That being said, I didn't enjoy this that much. Listening to this felt like watching the Patriots vs Chargers game yesterday, long and not a lot of interesting stuff happening.
I will follow Kelela's career though as I think she's got tremendous talent.
Destroy Me has been in heavy rotation ever since the release of this record. The rest not so much but it's not because it's bad. I just never came back to this record, and I can confidently say that this isn't terrible. There's some good moments on here.
I wasn't really aware of Friday when it was popular, too young and unaware of current music, but I can tell looking back at it that this is miles better.
This is uch a disappointing result by Yo La Tengo. I wanted to like this so bad but everything was just so bland, so lenghty, so unnecessary. Don't know if that's what their entire discography sounds like, but if it's the case, not giving me the motivation to listen to any of their previous 17 albums...
It feels like when you're an RnB artist, you need to have something special in you or your music to stand out. Eric Bellinger does not have that It factor. It feels like I've heard this album hundreds of times already. It's mid music at its best.
Kota has some amazing songs, so everytime he drops I always peek to see if it's worth it. It never really is to be honest. He'll have to change a bit if he ever wishes to have songs as popular as Long Beach or Colorado.
It sounds ok but I don't see a world in which I come back to this record - or any individual songs - anytime in my life. I don't remember what led to me listening to this in the first place lol. Pretty forgettable tbh.
Yeah that sounds just like an overhyped critic favorite. It's good, there's some great aspects to this record and it's fun, but I wouldn't go any further than that. I think it's the perfect length too so good job in keeping it nice and short.
Relistening to this reminded me how much I had Rhinestone on replay earlier this year. It's such a banger. That being said, I can't say the same for the rest of the record. For once I totally agree with the user rating, some of theses songs could've stayed unreleased. Is it weird to feel like 10 songs and 34 minutes might've been too long here?
The main ideas on this record are good. There’s some good songs on here, but the lack of quality production on some others and the absolute shit-show that is Samia’s vocals throughout the record make it a sub-par record. It’s still decent, but does sound like a lot of other singer-songwriters of today (not as good though).
I mean it’s not great but 45 seems a bit harsh for this. Nothing very original going on here but I wouldn’t mind hearing some of these songs on the beach with a daiquiri or something. But yeah almost an hour is too much for Popcaan i guess.
There isn’t much to say about this record honestly. It’s a basic dance pop album. Not bad, not great but listenable.
Listening to a Trippie Redd project is a tough task for me. I enjoy some of his individual songs or singles but I just can't listen to him for 30+ minutes straight, let alone 76 MINUTES! Now granted there is only 4 songs on here without a feature, which makes the thing not entirely him rapping for 25 tracks alone. The problem here is I think it says a lot about your ability to make a 20+ songs album if you need to have a feature on 84% of the tracks.
After this useless intro, here are some ... read more
Seeing the rating, I expected to dislike this album very much, being a guy that isn't into latin music much. I was somewhat surprised of the content of this record. Don't get me wrong: the album is bloated and way too long, but there's some decent songs across the almost 70 minutes runtime. I didn't hate this as much as I thought but yeah there's way to many fillers on here.
I guess this is a genre of rap that isn't cut for everybody. It truly was a hard 51 minutes in my case.
This does not deserve a second listen for me to rate it. this thing was ASS from start to finish. Those first few songs might be some of my least favorite on the record, man does it starts off on the wrong foot.
This is only for the newly released tracks. It was a short break for Drizzy. I actually think that these few songs are better in quality than the overall vibe of For All The Dogs. It feels more consice, with some better production. You Broke My Heart is one of my favorite Drake track in the past few years, and a J. Cole feature always hits.
