I think this album is getting over-hated a bit. There's a lot of filler sure but there's also some great tracks like 8AM in Charlotte, Amen, Slime You Out and of course First Person Shooter. Back to back Gently and Rich Baby Daddy is a tough listen though.
We get a well deserved break from Kodak on tracks 12 and 13 as WizDaWizard massively helps us get through this almost hour long mess. We are miles away from Tunnel Vision, ZEZE or No Flockin'.
I didn't expect to enjoy this but hey it was actually very much listenable. Go To Hell with the sample absolutely slaps, and it's fun to hear Shaq and Dame in a song together. NBA represent I guess.
Boy after these first few songs I was about to turn it off. My ears were bleeding. The rest of the record isn't as bad but I can't believe this guy still thinks that the best way to release music is to do it about 4 times a year. This sounds like every record of his I've ever heard, and every song on here basically sounds like the previous track. I do not understand how this guy has such a massive fanbase, his music hasn't been relevant for years now (was it ever in the first place?).
I get that the content of what they're singing isn't the most important part of their music, but damn it's annoying a lot of the times. It gets so repetitive too. It's not as bad as I expected, but definitely a hard listen. It feels like every song is a like an entire minute too long on average.
Hole in the Bottom of My Brain sounds like a shitty and non-christmas-related Twelve Days of Christmas remake imo.
In a world where you have to stand out in order to make it in the music industry (particularly in the pop genre), this album doesn't come close to creating something remotely original. It's still a decent project, but this kind of record has been released hundreds of times this year alone.
I've looked through some of the reviews here and some of y'all are right. It does sound a lot like Conway, Earl or Westside Gunn, artists that I'm not that much of a fan. And yet this is even more mid. lol
This is a decent project from the Zulu man himself. I don't even think he's reached his prime yet, and he's created some great songs, even here on this record like Endless and Crazy Crazy. I did have some expectations coming into this record, but he managed to exceed them a bit
Wasn't too fond of the album at first but it grew on me over time. It also took me about 3 months to relisten to it because of the lack of time and the meh first impression. It's good vibes all around, and while it's not as grandiose as some of her previous work, it still sounds pretty dang nice.
3D is somewhat of a good song. Apart from that, everything else is a rough listen. I'm very biased since I dislike a lot of aspects of the K-pop industry, but dang this stinks. If only he wrote his own songs, I'd respect Jung Kook a bit...
Seven sucks SO MUCH, I've got a hard time understanding how it's a hit. Enumerate the days of the week? Fergie and will.i.am did that 14 whole years ago bud, you're late to the party.
This is the worst thing I've ever heard. If I wanted to hear an old man mumble his way through a story that happenned 50 years ago, my grandpa would've been a thousand times better (jk, both of em are dead so technically he's best case scenario). I adore the original version of this record, but damn this is garbage.
You know that an album is bad when you're dying of laughter listening to it. Happenned to Yung Gravy and now Roger Waters. Ggs in the chat.
Screw you Roger, sincerely.
I had heard her music was much better than Call Me Maybe. I guess people were right. I didn't know it would be THAT much better though.
I've been meaning to actually rate this record for months now but everytime I open this website I forget lol. Album is a few songs too long imo. Songs like LOOVE, K-POP and DELRESTO are pretty mid (and even MELTDOWN but that's a discussion y'all aren't ready to have). However, it also does countains a few of my favorite songs of the year, and showcases other artists and their ability to adapt very well to any kind of production. Teezo, SZA, Westside Gunn, they all fit amazingly on here. One of ... read more
There's definitely a bunch of very mid songs on this one, but the entire thing in itself feels like a nice cool summer listen to be honest. It's a shame I waited til the end of the summer to give it a spin lol. Their feature on here feels like the best I've heard of Weezer in a minute.
I'll sound like everybody else on here, but this is way too long. I don't mind the fact that it's all over the place, but it shouldn't have been 26 damn tracks long. There's some heat on here, but a lot of duds too. The End might be the best thing he's ever released though (joking but I genuinely enjoy that track a lot lol).
I don't usually like country music. I normally have a hard time going thru a song, let alone an entire album. Zach Bryan is an album that I can somehow listen to from front to back and actually enjoy some of the songs. It's got to do with the fact that it's very Americana-vibed, but it's still an impressive feat. Jake's Piano - Long Island is such a beautiful song, and other tracks like Spotless, I Remember Everything and East Side of Sorrow sound pretty good.
I'm glad I gave it a shot. It ... read more
This was one of the most anticipated album releases of the year for me, and it didn't disappoint. I don't know if I like this record more than Sour just yet, but it has the potential to, and anybody that knows me personnaly knows how much Sour means to me. Some of the best songwriting of the year for me, and it feels great to see Olivia grow as an artist and as a human being.
