So, ultimately, what is this collection of five tracks at just over 34 minutes long? Quite frankly, it’s a towering edifice of electronic brilliance.
Do It Again remains impressive, if not extraordinary, from beginning to end. Röyksopp and Robyn for once sound like bandmates, rather than guest stars on one another’s solo work.
Röyksopp and Robyn have not only traversed new territory, they've made it their own.
Ultimately, they bolster each other on Do It Again. For the two artists, it’s not groundbreaking – it is a nice dollop of sideways expansion, revealing new areas that neither can quite achieve separately
It’s a solid collection of five disparate songs, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself returning to “Do It Again” with the fervor of a dumped lover.
The only problem with Do It Again is that it ends with you wanting a lot more from this Nordic pairing.
Fortunately, Do It Again is a much happier reunion of collaborators with perfectly matched strengths.
Though technically an EP, the 35-minute Do It Again has the epic sweep of a proper album, with contemplative instrumental passages helping frame the more conventional songwriting.
Joyously addictive mutual self-destruction is what "Do It Again" is all about. Just try to only play it once.
Do It Again isn’t as downright amazing as it could have been, but there are far more pros than cons.
Do It Again is eccentric and ends too quickly, but those considerations pale next to the fact that within less than half an hour, Robyn and Röyksopp go from eyeing each other with genuine suspicion to sounding as if they’ve never been apart.
The intention is to go for the cheese on Do It Again, but the impact is so much stronger when restraint is exercised.
Even without the ecstatic melodrama of Robyn's best work or the momentum of Röyksopp albums like 2009's Junior, this is a worthwhile peek into three great electro-pop minds.
There's nothing much to grab on to here. It seems as though, throughout, Röyksopp and Robyn have stayed a little tentative of each other.
