Distorted Sound
This is a staggering piece of art that will once again land the four-piece on end of year lists and cement them as one of Britain’s most promising bands.

While it's less frantic than its predecessor, Páthos continues to spotlight Conjurer as true masters of fashioning cool riffs into great songs. The album remains a unified, expansive statement while giving plenty of stank to headbang and mosh to.

Conjurer may release music at a slower scale than fans would like, but at least this portrait of anger, catharsis and occasional pensive ascension is a complete effort, tailor made to be the explosive piece of art it is.

It might not be a barrel of laughs, but Páthos is certainly a cause for celebration.

There is plenty to love on Páthos, don’t get me wrong, and the melodies here will strike each listener differently; but Conjurer, for the first time ever, has left me cold.

I love sludge metal so much man and this band is doing it like no one else. I discovered and fell in love with their first album a few months ago. While this one did not hit as much as the first one, it's still an impressive and delightful experience. It hits hard, it's full of emotions, my favorites are the more melodic tracks like "Cracks in The Pyre", "Those Years, Condemned", also "Basilisk" is a strong one. These guys are so good.

Blackened sludge with numerous influences, ranging from post-rock to metalcore. It sort of blends together easily, which is its main downside, but every other aspect is incredible.

I heard about the sludge metal influences on this album, but the vocals on this are like the rawness of black metal meeting the choruses of metalcore. The riffs dig deep and never relent, with these absolutely soulrending belts of distorted vocals. Absolutely brutal.

I feel weird rating this, because I haven’t found myself coming back to it nearly as often as Mire, but I think as an overall package it’s stronger, I just prefer individual moments of Mire more.

The perfect band for enjoyers of the extremest side of Metal.

The way they blend together so many elements from different subgenres of Metal is nearly flawless. From Death to Slugde, from Hardcore to Black Metal passages.

The unrelenting storm of monolithic riffage is often balanced with sensational melodic sections. And on top of that the diversity of vocal interplays makes it a really enjoyable listen.
