There's no denying Tech N9ne has great fundamentals a lyricist and a story-teller, however this album is just a load of barnacles
There's no reason for it to be this long, this all over the place, this melo-dramatic and over the top at the same time, and the expansive feature list is more distracting than actually fitting for the sounds and styles that he's going for

You know that music you used to love in highschool but now you kinda cringe at when you revisit it? That's Tech N9ne for me. Although, 'Something Else' and his following album 'Special Effects' sneak past my cringe radar for a few songs. Nostalgia overpowers the cringe. Tech's energy was genuinely animalistic on a lot of these songs, really gets the blood boiling. But just like every Tech project, it's bogged down by unnecessary tracks and mid features.

Rated this a while ago, but came back to review it.
I love almost all songs in this. Only exceptions are: Fortune Force Field, I'm Not a Saint, Priorities, Dwamn, See Me, That's My Kid.
All other songs sound amazing, the lyrics are dope and so on.
Just saw the "contoroversy magnet" a.k.a. Fantano's review, I couldn't help but say to his followers: Jumping on the hate train does no good.

It’s not all doom and gloom, as we have the back to back hits ... read more
