The middle of the album is quite bland, but there are definitely some good songs

Great ambient soundscape. Somehow it felt like 3 hours instead of 1 and a quarter.
Even though ambient music should be straightforward to digest, it might take another listen to fully appreciate its wonder because of its beautiful complexity (and my constantly fleeting attention).
Even though there is a lot of interesting instrumentation, that is everything that is interesting.
Mostly nothing new, but there are some highlights which should be interesting for a fan of the flaming lips' later content.
Even though I think this album is over hated, it is not extremely so.
After seeing a bunch of negative reviews from people I follow, I knew I had to have a listen. So I listened to the first song. And the next. And then the next... Until I came to the final one. I now understood why so many people hated it, perhaps by not understanding the importance of creativity.

Fun all of the way through, especially on the first three songs, but does become a bit repetitive after a while
Finally they are back with a smooth new record, but not as long or impressive as I would have hoped for.
Not the biggest fan of classic metal vocals, but the instrumentation here is great
