Not to sound like a BROCKHAMPTON stan (because, frankly, my scrobbles would indicate that I am), but when BUZZCUT came out, I was so excited. It was fresh, vibrant, experimental, and hell, Danny Brown was in it. (Some know I'm not the biggest fan, to each their own). But god did it slap, and they announced that it was gonna be out on April 9th, which is now.
And what do I think?
Well, you can see the score.
I definitely needed a second to warm up to this, and while I definitely think CHAIN ... read more

SEASON ONE: New Order
EPISODE FOUR: Brotherhood
This is definitely the most indie sounding so far, and I love it. So many fun moments on this record, and the singing has been brought to another level with this one.
Also, this includes one of two New Order songs I had heard before this.

EPISODE THREE: Low-Life
This album takes more of a dance approach and I think it works heavily in their favor, his voice works so well with this production and some weird tracks like Elegia spice up the album a bit. A lot of songs here are just straight up jammers.

EPISODE TWO: Power, Corruption, and Lies
This album starts off with Age of Consent, which somehow proves to be better than anything in the last album in the span of five minutes. I really like the guitar on this song, and the vocals feel a lot comfier here. And not even a track later I can already tell there's gonna be more going on to this album compared to the last album, which feels like a joke comparatively. 5 8 6 is definitely quite an interesting track ... read more

EPISODE ONE: Movement
Okay so, I'm the kinda guy who only knows Blue Monday, so I didn't really expect this going in. I definitely think that the albums had some rough moments (Senses being a decent example of that), there was definitely some decent moments here and there (however, the random noises in ICB cannot let me take them seriously). The album picked up decently near the end with the last three tracks however.
Had some great moments throughout, started slipping during the ending, and especially the track "I Cream Myself a Lot"
or at least that's what I had heard
Looking back on this, there's some stuff I didn't give fair credit to in my original scoring of 61, but I still have some issues here and there that throw me off a bit.
While I think the execution of this idea was done really well, I would have loved for some more. The "eight tracks" afterwards don't really leave as much of an impression due to how short it really was.
The ten minute song was quite a jam though!
Very dreamlike vaporwave, sometimes a bit too repetitious for my liking but an otherwise enjoyable experience.
This is my first Steven Wilson project so I have nothing else to go off of but I really enjoyed this.
This doesn't need a deluxe, the original was long enough...christ.
We need to give this track more attention. If you want a starter pack for all of SPIDER GANG, this is the song for you.
Twelve minutes of pretty much absolute heat from every member.
By the way my ranking on verses are:
1. MKULTRA
2. eddison
3. CXRPSE
4. BRUHMANEGOD
5. Afourteen
6. BLCKK
7. Lil Darkie
8. fl.vco
9. CHRIST DILLENGER
10. JOHNNASCUS
ALBUMS I NEED TO HEAR #1:
Song(s) I've Known: PDA
Being a Rock Band player really helped diversify my taste at a young age, and helped me discover a lot of music...
It also shows how cringe my taste was when I was younger, because I don't remember giving a damn about the song. This album was nothing short of pretty at many moments, inviting fresh and vibrant production and bits of binaural parts that make listening to them with one headphone a pain in the ass.
