Who is behind Matt right now pushing him this damn hard?
If whatever Matt is cooking up is going to be as adventurous and infectious and these singles I am 100% ready for it. The instrumental feels like something I would hear from Men I Trust or Breakbot. This song has me feeling like when I first heard Childish Gambino drop Redbone.
Matt Champion delivers his version of Good News.
This songs play like detached text messages from two lovers. Acknowledging ones flaws while still expecting acceptance from the other.
Cool lofi sounds that make you feel like you are at a festival in the middle of a tropical forest. My main complaint would be that some of the vocal additions come off a bit bland to me.

We getting Colon Cancer cuz I'm full of shit!
I once decided to go to Burger King on a Tuesday morning and get some French fries for my grandma. The cat crossed the road so I had to file my taxes on Turbotax this year but I did it early and got my return already! If you need to add your credit card onto your amazon account you could try logging in through spotify and linking your twitch account to your battlenet. Just make sure not to pick a gnome because then when you try to refrigerate your ... read more
I remember liking this album for all the cool rap features but now I look back and think they might not add all that much.
Don't get me wrong Yachty is SNAPPING on this one but he does kind of fall out of pocket a bit into his verse. J. Cole on the other hand is tight as usual. According to Cole, Yachty inspired him to push his pen after hearing this one. Whatever Yachty did it worked.
Wow what an extraordinary journey!
I went into this thing expecting to absolutely hate this project from what I see people saying about it. That being said, after actually sitting through it I totally get it, but at the same time I think the hate is a little overblown. When it comes to a vision this thing is absolutely lost, it doesn't have one. Themes be damned because they are out the window. However, there are redeemable elements throughout here and entire songs that are honestly great. As ... read more
This thing starts super sweet and by the end is basically a punk record. I am unfamiliar with the artist so I am sure that is the point but what I am more unsure on is if I like it or not. Saved more for later to revisit but right now just feeling lukewarm on what I heard.
Somebody get big_stanker some water. This album sounds like drifting down DK mountain on Mario Kart Double Dash. Just make sure to keep a mushroom to dodge the blue shell. Actual music-wise the first half of this project pulls much farther ahead of the second half. The first half strikes me as more finished works with the second half being semi-finished ideas. Still a fun listen but nothing knocking me out of my chair.
It's 2024 are we still making this generic garbage?
Miley is doing a pretty good job singing on this single but all for nothing. This song goes nowhere with the trope being played of finding someone you find attractive this time with the flavor of playing doctor.... The instrumental is so damn boring too. 4 count made me excited but halfway through I am left thoroughly disappointed.
After leaving his sons by the roadside, Mumford changed aliases to Noah Kahan and released a banger of a folk album. Despite being an essentially huge artist at this point Noah delivers a sound that still feels very authentic and handmade. This album for me is at it's best when it is taking a melancholic perspective journey like on Stick Season and Growing Sideways. Where this album slightly loses me are on the more generic singer songwriter songs such as Halloween and Homesick but the sound ... read more
An album truly goated with the sauce. This man really said he wants to fuck an amphibian. I won't count Marsupial Superstars towards the score because TeChNiCaLlY it was added later but just know that would also be a 100. Gonna take this opportunity to be first to rate tracks.
Definitively going to leave a more lasting impression that the first EP I had heard from this group. Very magical.
I don't think I hate this album as much as the next person but when it is at it's worst boy does it make me want to plug my ears with moth balls.
Not as psyched on this as I was for his 2014 release. However I will say Kurt was ahead of his time on Hollidaises.

Combining styles of psychedelic and math rock this album sounds to me like a blend of Tame Impala and Dance Gavin Dance in all the positive ways possible.
