Definitely a step down from his previous album but definitely a bit overhated I appreciate that he's trying to get more political the problem is the features are mediocre and the production is outdated today

Ooh, I love this so much! This is probably the most sampled album ever in hip-hop (don’t fact-check that). It’s so funky, so groovy, so psychedelic—definitely one of the best jazz or jazz-adjacent albums of all time.
Strong release in their catalog not their best but that just goes to show how consistent they were during this time

Sorry for responding like a month later 😶, but I don’t really see how that’s the case. Once again, “Heartbreaker” is on this thing, and that riff can rival pretty much every song in their discography in that department — “When the Levee Breaks,” “The Rover,” etc. “What Is and What Should Never Be,” “The Lemon Song,” and “Whole Lotta Love” are pretty rockin’ as well. Even “Moby Dick,” the instrumental track, opens with a sick riff. I don’t really get this take. Sure, it’s not as lyrically sharp, but that’s a completely different argument. To be honest, I’d argue Led Zeppelin IV is way more tame by comparison"
