Finally a good album from one of the most overrated, but also hot rappers in the scene right now.
J Cole is an extremely talented rapper, and he shows it on this project, wich is very good, especially from a conceptual standpoint. There are a lot of quality tracks and high points, from Wet Dreamz to 03 Adolescence to GOMD to the radio hit No Role Modelz. A very interesting album, wich makes me understand why so many of my friends would give this man a blowjob.
Why is this album so beloved? It's so unimpressive. If any other rapper put this out everyone would roast the hell out of this thing, but since is Cole i can't touch him? It's uninteresting, inconsistent, lacks quality in the production that feels empty and generic, lyricism is not always bad but as has a handful of corny moments and it fails to be introspective as Cole would want in this album. Flow isn't everything unfortunaltey, there is lyricism and rhyming in rapping, the rapper from south ... read more
One of the most overrated and overhyped albums period. It's often boring, generic and not impressive, and the production let me down many times. 4YEO is a great track tho.
I understood it it Mac, at this time you were banging Ariana fucking Grande and you were the horniest man on the planet and i haven't seen a woman in my fucking life, but chill bro, leave some bitches for us.
It has some good tracks, but it's inconsistent and a little corny. The production is there, but's is raw and the style and lyricism feel very artistically immature.
HEROES & VILLAINS is the best trap album i've heard in a while, and surely the best trap album that has come out this year. Every track has bops, and the producing by Metro is perfect. I've a feeling that this record could be an absolute 10 if listened under drugs. Also cool Pink Floyd reference in the album artwork.
The first time i heard The Hills i just flew from my apartment into the sky. Not the best Weeknd album, but there are a lot of hits in it.
Starboy is a great single, but i don't actually find myself returning to this album as much as i do with After Hours and Trilogy. The second half is also not great, apart from I Feel It Coming and Die For You.
Another great album from pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen. Full of variety, more instruments used, and a crescent maturity. The album gets more and more interesting as you listen to the project, wich is not common to find in a pop album. Overall, it's not Emotion, but it's still an excellent album, full of bops and great moments.
Good album by Steve Lacy, and a good step further in his sound and overall Is his career. I did not expect Bad Habit to Blow up Like it did.
